People really aren't buying it this time around.

Something I've noticed outside of the MJ fan sphere of the internet that in the wake of the biopic, it really seems like to me that people just aren't really buying the whole "MJ guilty" narrative hook, line and sinker as much anymore, defintiley less so now than in 2005 and 2019. Leaving Neverland II essentially was a blip on the radar that no one gave a shit about. People are definitley questioning the motives of the Cascio kids rather than do what they did during the whole #cancelMJ crusade in 2019 and just take everything that Wade or James said at face value without question, even after a multitude of inconsistencies came to light.

That's not to say that now everybody's on the #MJInnocent train, but people are willing to ask more pertinent questions now and calling out blatant inconsistencies, such as "why is it that the minute that the Cascio tracks were removed from the Michael album that now all the sudden they're claiming MJ molested them and are suing the estate for millions of dollars?", "Why is it that they're claiming that Leaving Neverland made them realize that what MJ supposedly 'did' was abusive, yet they continued to defend him for years AFTER it came out? With Frank Cascio himself calling LN what it was, a propogandized hit peice on MJ."

Also, given the fact that it's been confirmed that out of all the major celebrities, moguls, socialites, and billionaires that spent time with Jeffery Epstein and took flights on the Lolita Express, MJ's name is notably absent. That SHOULD raise questions about why MJ was so relentlessly scrutinized by the media for almost thirty-three years, even after death. And has had more in-depth investigations than ANY other celebrity that's been accused of sexual assault or harassment, each investigation and trial found nothing, yet the simulacra of "Whacko ***** the sick **** kid diddler" still stood strong? Why things like "neverland sleepovers" and "jesus juice" still served as thought-terminating cliches against anyone trying to argue that maybe MJ didn't do anything to kids.

I don't know how some racist tropes persist into big 2026 despite BLM. I actually saw biopic review headlines with "*****" again! Has there been no change of guard in the 17 years since Michael died?

I feel that way too, but I feel that in my country (Brazil) this narrative has always been weak… Of course, the media has always been super sensationalist and still is, but I've always seen a strong movement in his defense; Michael is well-beloved here; he has always been… But with the biopic, this became too strong. If you go into news posts (at least here), almost 99% are defending him and insulting the news page that posted it, and even better: if there's a hater talking nonsense, you can be sure there will be many people insulting them! I think haters will always exist, and the media will always take advantage of that (deep down I believe it's an agenda, but that's just a conspiracy between me and my neurons), but THANK GOD this is changing a lot!

I can only talk about what I see on social media and I also have the feeling that most people don't buy everything they read but do their research and use their brains. Finally.

It's kinda flopping yes, but I'm more concerned because people in my family read the New York Times article and, while they were neutral before, the algorithm is bringing up a lot of guilter content. I see the media is trying to bombard us all with guilter content, and some people are falling pray.

It's nothing like LN though

Its even more stupid when you have some articles that call the Cascio allegations into question and say "oh can Michael Jackson be both guilty AND a victim of false allegations?" Implying that he did molest Wade, James, and Jordan Chandler, but that the Cascio and Arvizo allegations are false.

Meanwhile when you look into the actual facts behind the cases, its much easier to believe on fact alone that the entire "MJ is a pedo" narrative is a house of cards. Hell in the most "credible" accusation, the "victim's" father was caught on a hot mic threatening to frame MJ if he didn't pull the proper strings to get him a screenwriting deal. Not to mention the blatant lie about how "The drawing matched and it was intentionally kept out of the evidence pool in '05" when the reason why it was kept out of the discovery was because it didn't match. From a forensic standpoint it wasn't worth the peice of paper it was drawn on.

Many lies that were uncovered through the years are resurfacing. Yes, people in my family were discussing points from the 93 case like the drawing and the books. These articles by serious media and the algorithm really muddle the waters.

Yes, that's good! Except for reddit, where typically people have the attitude of moral superiority and of course think they know all the answers.
contrary, I enjoy the art community on instagram and the algorithm swept a lot of gorgeous MJ art my way.

Does anyone here know if it's possible for the Estate, family or phone network to retrieve Michael's phone records to see if a phone call really did take place to Aldo on June 22, 2009? If they can prove that didn't happen, that will be solid evidence of a pure lying.

I've seen a lot more positive comments lately and people questioning the allegations. But the media still likes to post negative news about him and that's what my relatives read without questioning. So annoying trying to tell them it's not true.

They will just say MJ had a pedo-phone which no one knew about but the cascios 😅 if you debunk a lie they will just change it afterwards and then people are like „you see?? He is guilty“ !
