Just sitting thinking about how they've somehow gave us a version of Starlight that sounds worse than the leak, which also sounds shit.

Do we know if Sunset Driver is a different demo than the one on Ultimate Collection? I assume it is.

When the songs get remixed you all complain because they’re messing up the original take, when the songs are left in the original demo state you all complain because the songs sound bare and unpolished.
Most of these songs were never finished, it is unfair to expect otherwise. Just stick to the released albums if you can’t properly set your expectations.

There's a happy medium...finish the songs in a way that's true to MJ's music without remixing them to sound modern..."Michael", for all its flaws, got that right...the production sounds like a finished MJ album

Listened through “Starlight,” and while it is better than the leak, it’s obviously ripped from a mediocre-quality tape, with a LOT of obvious distortion. I’m hoping this is just a faulty rip, because if not, this is absolutely embarrassing and disgraceful.

The synth definitely has more of a "kick" in Starlight.

The snippet of Behind The Mask songs gorgeous and organic, nothing like Greg's version from 84 or 85.

One thing for sure is that John McClain did a great job on the remix. The original is very 80s and very fitting for its time. I think it’s the one I am looking forward to hearing the most on the set.

Say what you will about Michael as an album, but the remixes on there did a great job of actually sounding like MJ. Xscape, not so much.

CGOOTR might be a little different from the mixing.. but they cut the first part of the song...
She's Trouble quality is crystal clear.

I agree- John McClaine did a wonderful job on the songs he worked on.

Many of the songs sound like I would expect MJ would have released them. - I can't say that for some of the Xscape song. DYKWYCA and CHicago... Does not sound like something MJ would release. And even though I really like STTR and APWNN they are too electric and it doesn't feel like something MJ would release. - So happily we also got the demos - I listen to them often.
