I don´t know any songs by him either. But I dont know any song with Jay Z either, and a few more big names. Maybe I live under a rock, but still I listen to the radio every day.

formula is so simple;

make the largest selling album

sell 1.500.000.000 album

when you go any place on earth; everybody loves you!? (this is the most important rule)

give live concerts (I mean stadium concerts - like Bad tour, like Dangerous tour) Did you make a tour like Michael did?

if yes; yes you're bigger than Michael...

If no; shut up...

It's probably a very nice rock, but a rock in any case.

Maybe the radio stations you listen to every day don't play mainstream rap or something. I dunno. But they are both big.

Kanye West has never even been relevant. He doesn't come to mind when anybody thinks of anything in regards to music. His only memorable achievement was being a d--k to Taylor Swift at that award show. That's about all that comes to mind in regards to him.

Well, that and the fact he likes fish sticks.

It's probably a very nice rock, but a rock in any case.

Maybe the radio stations you listen to every day don't play mainstream rap or something. I dunno. But they are both big.

No one outside of the US really cares about either Kanye West or Jay-Z.

Being a heel only works when people are paying to see you get your ass kicked, not when you're trying to sell music. So he can have fun with his "character," but in the grand scheme of things, most people won't care.

What ugly qualities this guy has.. Egotistical, self riotous, and completely full of himself. I gaurentee you that if I took his picture and showed 20 people over the age of 40 his picture a large majority of them would not be able to match the face with the name..

You draw a cartoon picture of Michael (does not matter how bad of a drawer you are lol!) and 100% of people from most ages will know who that is..

His albums don't even sell THAT great, they sell well but not anything out of the norm.. whatever!

Just to remind you all, he IS a big MJ fan. Aside from being one of the talking heads in Bad 25, he has always praised MJ.
Hell, he even had a small homage to him in his RUNAWAY video

michael-jackson-runaway.jpg

Him slipping in comments like this in an interview clearly is just to set off people with a WTF moment.

And his line in "All Of The Lights"

"Something wrong, I hold my head
MJ gone, our ni**a dead"

2010. The full video for the song was 35 minutes. A short film, if you will.

The video is a compilation of a total of nine songs featured on the "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" album, with 10 of the 35 minutes of its running time devoted to a sequence featuring the song "Runaway".

Kanye West Thinks He Is A Better Michael Jackson Than Michael Jackson
By Megan Leitch - September 24, 2013

So it really isn’t new news that Kanye West is one of the most, if not the most, egotistical douchebags around currently. It also isn’t shocking that he continues to live in this warped world where he is the greatest, most innovative artist alive. However, he manages to still spew some insane shit about himself that makes the rest of the world tilt their head to the side and go “Is he serious right now?”

West has now he has taken his ridiculously way too high opinion of himself to a new level by saying that he believes he has broken more creative barriers than Michael Jackson. Cue LaToya heading up a mob to castrate Kanye in 3…2…1…Giving a not so subtle back handed compliment, Kanye starts off telling BBC Radio 1 that if not for Michael Jackson he wouldn’t exist as an artist, but then quickly reminds the world that the person who really can take all the credit for West is West himself.

“I was able to ascend to massive heights, and I’ve got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. I have reached the glass ceiling, as a creative person, as a celebrity and I’ve been at it for 10 years.”

Mother ****er thinks crap like “Gold digger” broke creative ceilings. I feel like if MJ was alive, he’d listen to this interview and just go:
mj5.gif

What you say?!

The ****ery doesn’t stop there with the MJ dissing. West also whines that he isn’t a jerk, but that no one understands his genius. It’s all due to racism and him being too above the rest of us that he isn’t more accepted.

“I shouldn’t be limited to only one place of creativity. You guys don’t understand — I did the Air Yeezys and they eBay’d for $90,000…but I didn’t get a call from Nike the next day.”

Um, anyone stupid enough to spend almost a million bucks on a pair of sneakers is a ****ing moron and doesn’t help West’s case. And of course, Nike is just racist and that’s why they didn’t hire West to put out his own line ripping off Jordans. Just like the Grammys are racist. And the VMAs. And basically everybody. Oh, and Fendi too it seems, since Kanye claims he invented leather jogging pants years ago but Fendi turned him down.

“We brought the leather jogging pants six years ago to Fendi, and they said no. How many motherfukers you done seen with a leather jogging pant?”

Uh, not a lot but I can tell you that if I did, I would laugh my ass off at the sheer stupidity of them. The whole point of sweat pants is comfort and laziness. It’s like the idiots who put heels on sneakers. WHY?!

West then put the cherry on top of the ****ery sundae by stating that he is the “No 1 rock star on the planet.” And with that, here is MJ’s reaction from the other side
mj2.gif

Bitch, please keep talking. This shit is free comedy.

We all agree, Michael, we all agree.

He had some very good albums, especially Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak & My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. But this last album is so boring and just bad. That's my opinion about his music.

I respect him for his nice words about MJ and his work he did for MJ.

And Kanye as a person.. I don't like his personality (being arrogant, egotistical.. beating photographs, his latest comments and "preaching" at his concerts...). He's comparing himself to God and saying that he's bigger than MJ.. and at the same time the whole world is laughing at him for marrying and having a kid with a pornstar. That South Park episode with "fish sticks" is the best way to portrait Kanye. Those guys are geniuses.

Please. Kim Kardashian isn't even good enough to be a porn star. She was a Paris Hilton tag-along and then she did a naughty tape, but that does not a porn star make. She's one of those people who is famous for no real reason.

As for Kanye West, yes, he likes fish sticks... so one ought to wonder as to who (or should I say what) Kim K really is.

His colossal ego and cocky arrogant attitude makes not even bother to take him seriously as a performer. Not just for these recent delusional claims, he's been like that since I've heard about him and I despise that kind of people. Michael is larger than life and his humbleness always stood out.

So as far as I can see, some here believe that he's just "trolling".... ugh, a reason why I hate these new verbs, when you say something utterly ridiculous nowadays you can blame it on "trolling". I wonder why Michael never trolled about being bigger than the idols he admired so much (as K.W does with Michael, supposedly) oh yeah... a little recipe he liked to cook which included common sense, humbleness and pinch of class :trish: K.W should try it sometime, it's quite nice...

But it's strange to compare a pop/r&b singer to a rapper.

Rap in general is very much a non-humble genre. A lot of it IS about being pompous, egotistical, etc.
Not ALL of it, but a lot.

Not that he's not being silly with saying this, but this is all very calculated.

Funny how a few days ago, he was probably (if nothing else) a-ok in all of y'alls book because of how much of a fan he was and all the homages he has done (as far as fashion, videos, and songs).
He even sampled PYT for "Good Life" :D

I bet Tupac and Biggie showed off at some extent but they weren't egotistical asses to that extreme and they're way more legendary in that genre.

Michael Jackson a pop star? Oh, please! He's an Artist and R&B, soul are more predominant on his songs.

Michael has done so many different styles of music that you can't just label him as one thing like a pop star or an RnB star. Michael Jackson is Michael Jackson. You can't put a label on him

well to be annoying, Michael is a Pop star.. a pop star does not always have to sing what we classify as pop music.. all Pop is a shortened word for POPular Music.. we have a stigmatic sound in our brains of what pop music sounds like because that sound usually becomes more so popular than other styles.. BUT, any form of music can be considering pop music.

Especially now where there is not a fine line between hip hop, R&B, and Pop.. Kanye west may rap but he's a pop star.

He AINT no Michael Jackson!!! He has talent and has artistic appeal to him, but his behavior, attitude, and outlook is his downfall.. He's so blinded by what he views to be big success to see where he really is.

He once called himself and Timberlake "Like Michael Jackson and Prince" now he is with Kim and more reason for publicity, he's "bigger" as he said than Michael Jackson... I could only imagine if he makes an actual smash album, he'll call himself God.. Or bigger!
