I found this on LSA and thought it was interesting.
This is from another MJ board and are coming from a girl whose friend's mother was friends with Diana from the late 1970s to 1990s and then from the woman herself. The posters are 1980sMJLOVER and Carrylady from MJJB.

Oh no I never knew Diana. My friend's mother knew her. They were friends. I just got a chance to speak with her she says that it was clearly evident that Michael was in love with her. She first met him when he and Diana were going to the AMA's in 1981 and she had to babysit Diana's children. She said that Michael looked handsome(of course) and that he was shy for a minute until Diana walked out of her bedroom Michael changed and he started opening up and talking and laughing. Diana, of course is not a shy person at all and Carry said that she seemed to bring out a more outgoing side in Michael. She said that Michael gave her big hugs and didnt seem to want to let go. And they would always seem to flirt and play around like Diana would run up behind Michael and start tickling his stomach and sometimes Michael would do the same thing. Oh, and she said that Diana would also sometimes sit in Michael's lap so the 1996 WMA's was not the first time she did it. She heard the tapes of that Rabbi guy and what Michael said about Brooke, she said that he must have loved Diana too at the same time. She mentioned to Diana that she thought that Michael was really interested in her and Diana said "oh please," and laughed. Carry said she wasnt sure what to make of that comment. She didnt know whether she meant that Diana didnt believe that Michael liked her in that way or if she was hiding something. She said that it was very sweet seeing them together. She said that there were times where she was looking after Diana's children and Michael and Diana would be in the living room talking for a while. She never butted in on their conversaiton of course because it she said it seemed private but she said that they looked lovely and they were very comfortable with each other and Diana's girls adored Michael, and he really loved them as well. She told me that she wished that they would have gotten together because they seemed made for each other. One more thing this is so cute, she said that Michael probably was sexually attracted to her as well. She said from time to time she would catch him looking at Diana's butt and she would nudge him in the side and he would turn to her and innocently say "what" like nothing happened. LOL!
Okay this time she told me a lot of details and I am going to try and type this without breaking into tears. Okay she said that there was definately some chemistry between them they would always laugh joke play around and stuff like that. They would have pillow fights and run in and outside the house with the kids. She told me that Diana could be a tomboy at times. Here is a quote somebody said about her from one of Diana's books. "She has a chameleon quality...one minute she's a little kid, a tomboy...the next minute she's a ver sophisticated woman." If any of you have read the Rabbi's book one of the transcripts Michael says that his perfect woman would be tomboyish but classy as well. Diana fit that mold exactly. Anyway Carry said that she wasnt sure of sexual chemistry especially on Diana side, she said she believed she was attracted to Michael but wasnt sure if there was a sexual attraction. But for Michael their definately was, he would look at her butt alot. She told me that Diana may not have had a lot of chest but she did have a butt!LOL So she said that Diana also loved children, she said that there were times when her girls would have their friends over and Diana would really interact with the children. She said that they were far more alike than they were different. She said that Diana and Michael one time went out together with her children on a boat that Diana had rented just so Michael could get out of his sheltered life. Diana cared about Michael very deeply and Michael cared about her very deeply. Carry then told me a story that one day Michael came to Diana's home in Conneticut completely took them both by surprise. He was in disguise a big afro, strange sunglasses, and a fake mustache. She said it was in 82, 83 or 84. She noticed something very different in Michael that day regarding Diana and what she told me broke my heart. She said they were all watching a movie together Michael and Diana was sitting on the couch and she and the kids were on the floor. Diana allowed Michael to wrap his arms around her waist and I am going to quote Carry directly: "the look on Michael's face when his arms was around her reminded me of the way my husband looked at me on our wedding day and I nearly cried." Then she said that she one day just asked Michael upfront what he felt about Diana and he said that he loved her with all of his heart.
She said that she met Arne and said that he was a nice man but she never in a million years thought that Diana would acually a man like him. She went to her wedding, she said she wasnt expecting Michael to be there even though Diana invited him and of course he didnt show up. She said she watched the 86 AMA's and got a little angry at Diana. She said she was thinking here you have a man right in front of you that loved the hell out of you, would probably do anything in this world for you and you marry somebody else who you have only known for two months! She also said that back then it was uncommon for women to date younger men especially ten years or more younger which Michael was 14 years younger. She said that she felt that Diana loved Michael romantically but didnt want to risk losing her career or the media frenzy.
Okay I asked her about the Central Park performance and she told me that she wasnt sure if Michael was the one who convinced her to stop the show. But she also said that she wouldnt be surprised if he did because he cared so much about her and wouldnt want her to be out there in the open singing during a storm. She said that she really didnt know Michael personally , she never had a long conversation with him. But knowing him through interviews she believes that DR would be great for him. She said that Diana was very independent, she often did her own housework, cleaning and cooking and she cooked when Michael was over there too. Diana didnt ask for anything from anybody. She had her own career and did her own thing, while raising her children. Carry said that Michael was obviously smitten and hugged her a lot. She said at times he seemed like a little puppy or a little boy in love around her
No she said that Michael never proposed to Diana contrary to the belief. He told everyone else that he wanted to marry her but not her personally. She felt that Michael was too shy to ever ask her because even though he at times he was very comfortable around her there were other times where he seemed neverous and shy around her. She said that she imagined that those were the times that he really wanted to tell her that he loved her. So Diana never rejected him because he never asked her.
Hello all! I'm Carry that mjlover is talking about. I decided to make my own account on here so I can talk to you gals directly and I also have some more stories I like to tell. First, I like to tell you a bit about myself. I am 64 born and raised in LA. I met Diane or Diana in 1977 right before she left to film the Wiz. I was in a clothing store when she came in and we took intrest in the same shoes. We sat and talked for a while exchanged numbers and she said that she would get back in touch with me after the filming was over. About five or six months later she invited me over to her house to meet her children, she just had her three girls at this time. At that time I was an out of work nanny. She told me that she already had a nanny for her children but would let me watch them from time to time. She spoke of Michael loosely, not very much until I met him in 1981. I remember that he was very handsome that night in his sparkly red sweater. I have only seen him a few times. My guess would be at the most seven times, it could be less. I never sat down and had a long conversation with him. My conversations with him were very short and consisted of maybe one or two non personal questions. I know you gals want to know about the "relationship" between MJ and Diana. Well like I said I have never gotten into very personal details about their interaction but I could definately sense an attraction and chemistry from afar; moreso by Michael than Diana because Michael seemed to wear his heart on his sleeve. I have caught him staring at Diana, not just her butt(which he did at times) but just her and he would have this smile on his face. I definately knew that he was in love with her. Diana was a very good friend of mine and I moved to Conneticut with her and lived in an apartment which she helped me pay for. I was surprised to see Michael come all the way over to visit her from LA where he lived(if that aint love, I dont know what is). I am tired of typing now I will tell you gals more later.
Hey I'm back. A few hours ago me, mjlover and a few of my friends got together to discuss MJ and DR. (yes even though mjlover is only 22 she likes to hang with us big gals sometimes) Well the youngest of my friends was 45 so we werent that old! But every last one of us said that MJ and DR should have been together and it was a group of ten. I dont think that we are the only ones either. From my own personal experience I know that Michael would have been better for Diana than Arne was. Diane had trouble with people accepting her for who she was and her celebrity status, especially when it came to the opposite sex and especially for men who didnt understand the nature of her career and how at times there would be days when she wouldnt be at home and that they ran the risk of being called Mr. Ross. I highly doubt that that would have been a problem if she became publically,(I say publically because I am not quite sure if they had a romantic relationship or not) involed with Michael becaue he was in the same business as she and his career was very successful and solid. They would be known as Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. Not Diana Jackson or Michael Ross. I honestly believe in my heart that the main attraction she had to Arne was that when they first met he didnt know anything about her career and she knew that he would love her for her because that is what she always spoke to me about when one of us brought him up. Sometimes I want to kick myself for not saying anything to them about getting together. I really didnt get into their business like that because Diane's friendship me was separate from her's with Michael because I wouldnt go as far to say that Michael and myself were friends, mainly just assosiates. But I truly wish I could have talked to Diane about Michael and tell her about the glow in Michael's eyes when he looked at her. When I found out that Michael listed her in his will I immediately cried. There is one thing Michael said to me about Diane that I have never forgotten and I remember in specific detail( dont know how I remember so well I guess the will did it) where we were and what was going on. Me, Diane, the kids and Michael were all out on the back porch running around like children. All of a sudden Michael stopped running and backed away a few feet and just stood their with his arms crossed smiling. When I noticed this I too stopped and walked over to him. The smile and the look in his eyes was so beautiful that even the toughest man I am sure would shed a tear. Well casually I asked him what was he looking at. Well first let me say that he looked as if he was in a different world, like he wasnt there. It was like his body was there but in his mind he was somewhere else. He told me that he was looking at Diane. The god honest truth I have no idea why I asked this question, it just came to me. I asked him if he loved her and he said he loved her with all of his heart, he said that she was an amazing woman and he loved the way she interacted with her children. And I tell you he said it softly but very strongly as well. I could tell that he was very serious about his love for her. It was not just a crush, it was not puppy love or infatuation. It was true love and it makes perfect sense to me that she is in his will because he was in love with her. I dont think he ever got over that.
CiCi hey how are you doin'? Dont worry about asking me questions ask as many as you want. That goes for everybody. I wish I could say definitively wether or not MJ and Di had a romantic relationship, but I am just describing what I saw between these two. The only kind of romantic or semi romantic interaction I witnessed was I believe that Mjlover told you all that Michael wrapped his arms around Diane's waist and she laid her head on his chest while we all were watching a movie. Other than that moment the interaction was just friendly and playful. Bare in mind that I wasnt with Diane everytime Michael was there. There would be times when she would call me from an apartment or house she stayed in LA and one time I heard a lot of noise in the background and she told me that Michael was there and his monkey Bubbles was chasing the kids. So it is safe to say that they spent a lot of time together but that doesnt nessesarly mean that they were a couple, they may have been just real close friends.
Your next question; back in the day lover didnt nessesarily mean sex or even romantic relationship. When he said lover he could have meant that they just loved each other in a friendly type way or he could have meant it the other way I dont know. This leads me to your next question: Michael loved Diana deeply I dont know whether or not he told her the depth of his love for her or not even though he told the world that. Mjlover said that I said that he didnt propose to her. I didnt say that, I said that I dont believe he did. I have always believed that since Michael loved Diana so much that perhaps he didnt tell her because he was afraid of rejection, so that maybe a reason why he convinced himself that they were involved in a romantic relationship. He didnt want to hear no, but unfortunately because he didnt speak up Diane got married.
Yeah, it was more on Michael's side why they werent as close after Diane got married again. I remember talking to her one day and I asked her how was Michael doing and she said that he hadnt called her in weeks and that when she tried to call that he would say that he was really busy. That conversation was very shortly after she got married.
Next question, Diana was very protective of Michael. She didnt talk about him that much to me and never devulged anything personal about him even though I am sure she probably knows things about him that probably no one in the world knew about him. If something happened between them I believe she would want to protect his image or his career even moreso than her own. But the media would more than likely target her because she knew him since he was a child and for them to be together in a relationship publically I dont even want to think of what disgusting lies the press would tell. And you are right back, really until recently the woman being the older one in the relationship wasnt accepted. Now even my daughter who is forty is dating a man who is thirty.
Dont get me wrong the relationship wasnt one sided because Diane loved her some Michael, maybe not romantically speaking but she definately loved him. She would cook for him everytime he would come over(at least when I was there to see). She made sure he ate everything on his plate. She was happy when he came to visit. Enjoyed his company and had fun with him. They would joke around, run around just like anybody else would. Diana loved him I know. I hope she is doing well now. I havent spoken or seen her personally since late 80's or early 90s when she moved to Europe with Arne and her children. She called me from Europe, gave me her new number but unfortuately my second husbands job relotated so I had to move to Florida where I am now and I lost her number and I dont have the means to get in contact with her again. But I am glad that even though she got married Michael eventually again established a relationship with her and they remained close friends until the end. Any more questions?
