I have an ipod touch... it looks lik you just need a free app to use kindle books with it. I'm conflicted about buying it, though. I'm not really comfortable giving this person one penny, even though it's only $3.95.

OK. I downloaded, and read, the whole book, if you can call it a book. Yes, the sample was pretty misleading! It really only mentioned the AMA in the excerpted Introduction. The "book" is a total hack job and much of it is written as if Michael were still alive, but I have to say, there were some surprises.
I'll get right to the main things:
-No mention of Propofol or Diprivan. There is a focus on Demerol and Celebrity doctors enabling dangerous prescription drug use.
-Mr. Simone does use Halperin as a major source, and devotes a good amount of text (considering how short the "book" is) to alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (what, according to Halperin, caused a terminal lung disease). Simone also claims that he himself had an encounter with Michael as he was leaving a toy store, where he claims he asked Michael about the lung disease, and although Michael didn't answer, of course he made it sound like the question alarmed Michael, as if he was hiding something.
But wait.
-The Will is the same Will we've seen since July 1. It's the same as this (http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2009/0701091mjwill1.html), without the signatures and initials, through page 5.
-There is a chapter on Dr. Conrad Murray that appears, unlike most of the "book," to have been written after Michael's death. It's talks about Murray's financial problems and says he is being sought for questioning in the investigation of Michael's death.
It also mentions a TV crew at Murray's Las Vegas office in Friday, the 26th.
I will transcribe this chapter, as it is probably of the most interest - there is also talk about AEG.
Other than that, most of it is stuff fans have seen before in the tabloids. Skin cancer, flesh-eating virus... pretty much everything but lupus. The "Abuse of a Child" chapter is about the abuse (primarily mental) Michael experienced, not the molestation accusations. There is no mention on the Chandlers or the Arvisos, even in relation to the impact the accusations had on Michael. The "Occult" chapter says nothing earthshattering, and mostly looks at "Thriller" and Liberace.
About the only thing that wasn't totally rehashed (though I may have missed it elsewhere) was a rather exstesive section on - wait for it - UFOs. Simone describes tapes he aquired from another UFO expert supposedly unknowingly speaking to Michael, with Michael asking a lot of questions about the films "Close Encounters" and ET being based on real events. Simone goes on about the UFOs, even though he doesn't even try to tie it to Michael's death.
Anyway... there is more, but nothing major. I can take pictures of certain pages, if anyone wants proof of certain content, such as the Will.
Amen! I wonder do we hire a private investigator or go to police? LOL I think police is cheaper![]()
Als we Just a Dreamer mogen geloven niet.
Michael Jackson was just a few hours when the deceased first book about his death as early as the Amazon's Kindle store to be had. At least that is "The Mysterious Death of Michael Jackson 'by Rob Simone said. No publisher can of course compete with, but is it a must-have for fans of The King of Pop?
Just a Dreamer If we are to believe not. According to this reader from Texas, you pay the price of the book, but it is an article from a few pages about the abuse of medication prescribed by your doctor. The author of "The Mysterious Death of Michael Jackson" he just wants money from the hype after death.
Book from Los Angeles however Byer says he now better understands how it went. According to this reader seems this "quick read" a light on a problem that thousands of Americans face. Yeah, but that we know nothing about the death of The King of Pop. We can also not much of it, because there will be pressure from the family still held half autopsy. The first is not demonstrated the fatal cardiac arrest caused by Jackson.
Did they transcribe the will or did they have a regular copy of it that just happened to somehow not include MJ's initials?
Wtf? Then how... The review... WHAT?![]()
I wrote her and got email from her but she was more about how shitish the "book" was. There is another reviewer who clearly states that book was publisshed before the death. I just can't find the way to get int ouch with her/him.I'm wondering if it's possible for an author or publisher to alter the title like an eBay listing, and if the Kindle file can be changed after it's listed. Like, maybe the book was called something like "They Mysterious Life of Michael Jackson" and was listed on June 24, and the title was changed on the 25th? The contents of the book are consistent with a book about Michael being "mysterious" in general, including (among othe things that were non-health related) possibly hiding a terminal illness and prescription drug abuse.
I'm more curious about the June 26th reviewers now. Didn't they read the Dr. Murray section and go "wait... this is about TODAY" (or even the next day)? Or was that part even there at the the time?
It appears it was transcribed. If you look at this screenshot, you can see that the word "Siegel" is not capitalized, as it is in the published will with the initials.

I know... to be accurate, it doesn't say "June 26." It says Friday. There are not actual dates in this section. It's written in a current tense, placing it a couple of days after Michael's death. It also mentions that they would be leaving for London "next week."
Here are shots of two times the Friday after Michael's death is mentioned:

It's fishy, now they all of a sudden remove it from various listings and edit publication dates? Something stinks here as hell.

I'd definitely presume that it's June 26, since the police were talking to Connie by Monday, right? I don't remember the timeline that much. It's all really a blur.
Do you think she would mind another query? I don't want her to feel harassed, but I really want to know on what date she downloaded the kindle and if the Conrad Murray segment and the Will were included.
Sorry about all the emails from us MJ fans. I know how some of us can
be, lol. I hope it isn't bothering you too much.
May I ask when was the exact date and time you downloaded it and was
Michael's will & details about Conrad Murray included?
We're trying to develop a timeline and see if the book was heavily
edited at any point.
In case you're wondering why we're all investigating this book so
late: I called up Amazon on Sunday morning, August 16 when the
publishing date was still June 24, 2009, and they redirected my
information to Amazon Kindle, who I was to call the next day. By the
time I woke up, the date was changed to July 24, 2009. I tried asking
questions about the date change, but the customer service rep didn't
know anything and forwarded my information to Amazon Marketing, who
has not contacted me back yet (if they ever will). I called up Amazon
Kindle again and the customer service rep spoke to me frankly and said
that most likely they will not be able to answer my questions due to
legalities.
I talked to someone at Headroom publishing and they seemed somewhat
hesitant to answer my questions directly and honestly.
We've also found that it seems Amazon/Rob Simone/Headroom (whoever is
responsible) has eradicated almost all evidence, except for on
Amazon.com and one or two sites (versus the 6-10 that advertised it in
the past) of the book. Most of the sites were affiliated or connected
with Amazon in some way. Based upon information we've gathered from
Google Cache (a part of Google that creates archives of websites every
few weeks/days), it seems that the books were wiped from these
websites within a few days after I called.
Most of the fans are just not happy about this. We feel as if there is
some piece to the puzzle missing before we find out whether or not
this is a dead end or something much more. We feel that since Michael
gave us so much (through his music, dance, charitable actions, and
even personal friendships), that we should help him out when he cannot
help himself.
Once again, my apologies for all of these emails from us, but you seem
to be our only hope at this point. I do hope you understand.
Thank you,
Gabi

soz i've been gone a while - This is too wierd
soz to be a nuisance but could somebody give me a brief update of what has happened in the past couple of days?
i'm afraid you'll have to read all new posts to get a general idea![]()
