L.A. Police Chief: Homicide or Accidental Overdose

Ok. Are investigating. But there is one thing that disturbs me from the day on June 25. Why not the police banned the house on the 25th? I remember that when the ambulance left the house, the police was already there and some trucks on the same day of change were in place to take things for Michael. It is a big question: entered the house, fuses at house and only after the police banned the house to investigate?

Why do I think when that kind of thing happens the house is immediately banned by the police for investigation, why is not known whether what exactly happened. Then, after the place no one else could enter or leave the house.

Really everyone, I don't want to think about this...yet is it possible that Michael woke up after a short period of time, and then administered it to himself, without thinking the dosage was to much?

Again, my heart is reeling from all of this, as I know everyone elses is. I just can't imagine what that man was going through day after day. I don't want to think of Michael this way. Breaks my heart even more. Nothing makes sense. No words or details can comfort me.

Yeh it all happened way too quickly

Homicide or Accidental
But then a whole new circus gets started. Media overdrive again........and unfortunately everything MJ held privately about his medical issues will be opened to public scrutiny in a court of law!

THis is my biggest concern that once the results of the toxioclogy comes back that depending on what the results are, things are going to hit the fan. If Michael was murdered, the media is just salivating at finding out Michael's medical conditions which will all come out in court and the press. It's not going to look good at all and we just have to prepared for the worst and hope for the best.

I hate the fact though mike's personal stuff be aired out again

Man this feels like the trial is happening all over again in a way.....

Becuz it's the LAPD. I think they automatically threw Michael into some "drug-addict celebrity who overdosed" category and couldn't imagine foul play could ever be involved. Or worse, becuz of budget cuts and the economy, they chose not to think of foul play so they wouldn't have to use time and money investigating. I wonder who they've actually talked to who was in the house the day MJ died besides the doctor. Are they waiting for the coroner to call this a homicide before trying to get statements from other ppl?

2004?! 5 year old unsubstantiated allegations from somebody they didn't even know whether or not was an employee of Michael Jackson's even back then? What the hell?

CNN should stick to being CNN instead of trying to be TMZ-lite. This is the height of irresponsibility.

Even if they are just looking for anti depression meds, this will play on every channel.
*Michael had blah blah blah...see told you he was f*cked up in the head*

Yep im afraid that is what they will say.... :banghead: These media ppl make me feel sick to be human.

i've just always thought that he shouldn't have died with that doctor around. i think it was in LKL where i saw that interview wherein the guy (from AEG) said Michael specifically asked for a live-in doctor, explaining that his body was the machine that would be doing all the work for the tour, and needed 24/7 monitoring from a doctor. which, to me, sounded like a serious desire to take care of himself. with a doctor living with him, he had no reason to self-medicate. he couldn't even use diprivan on himself. the doctor would have to do that. something went wrong (due to complacency? negligence?), and then the doctor took a lot of time to call for help...i agree with the opinion shared somewhere above, that somebody was looking out for himself, and not for Michael. hence, help came too late.

All of the potential people who administered anything to him in the past or present should be under investigation and this investigation should NOT be played out in the court of public opinion!
What is wrong with the LAPD? Have they not heard of professionalism? The LPAD need a GAG order! They need to keep the press { in all fomrs} out of their investigation until they have a final report to dispense regarding this case.

In my humble opinion.

Exactly.

I understand your concern, yet they have to follow every lead they're given. I'm telling ya, if they were to do this with every day folk, a lot of lives would be saved every year. So sad.

L.A. County coroner issues subpoenas for medical records from multiple Michael Jackson doctors

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has subpoenaed medical files and records from a number of doctors who treated the singer, as officials attempt to determine how the pop star died, sources have told The Times.

One source, who has seen one of the coroner’s office subpoenas, said it asked for “any and all” of Jackson’s medical records “including radiology and psychiatric records.”

An attorney for Dr. Arnold Klein, a Beverly Hills dermatologist who treated Jackson for nearly 25 years, said his client was among those receiving a formal request from the coroner’s office.

“It was a standard form subpoena and we turned over medical records to the medical examiner in response,” said lawyer Richard Charnley.

The subpoenas come in addition to at least three search warrants issued last week as part of a Los Angeles Police Department probe into whether prescription drugs played a role in his death.

Authorities have identified some of Jackson’s doctors from the medications and other medical evidence they recovered from the Holmby Hills mansion where Jackson was stricken June 25, according to sources familiar with the investigation.

But those sources, who spoke on the condition that they not be named because it was an ongoing investigation, said some of the medication lacked prescription labels and that officials were trying to determine how Jackson got them.

A longtime Jackson associate, who spoke on the condition that he not be named, said the pop star had little trouble finding doctors eager to treat him – and prescribe him drugs.

“They rotate in and out,” said the source. “There were a lot of doctors over the years ... They liked to be known as Michael Jackson’s doctor.”

Experts said the task before detectives and coroner’s investigators amounts to a medical jigsaw puzzle. They must get a strong handle on his medical status at the time of his death, including pre-existing conditions, previous medical procedures and his drug-use history—things that can be gleaned through many of the records requested and subpoenaed.

After gathering information about what was prescribed and in what quantity, investigators with medical training look at the patient’s history, the possible reasons each drug was prescribed, the side effects and the interactions with other medications. Investigators must also cross-reference medical files to try to recreate what a physician knew at the time he or she wrote a prescription.

Ed Winter, assistant chief of the coroner’s office, said the office does send subpoenas out in death investigations. “In many cases doctors will hand over the records,” he said. “In some cases, they will ask us for a subpoena to get those records.”

Winter would not comment on whether subpoenas were issued in Jackson’s death. While officials are awaiting the results of toxicology tests conducted by the coroner’s office the day after Jackson’s death, they warn that those tests may not answer all the questions.

For example, sources have told The Times that detectives found large amounts of the powerful anesthetic Diprivan at Jackson’s home. But experts said that Diprivan moves through the body quickly and might not show up in some tests. Diprivan, which also goes by the generic name propofol, is an extremely potent drug that is supposed to be dispensed by a person trained to administer anesthesia.

Paul Wischmeyer, an anesthesiologist at the University of Colorado who co-wrote a 2007 study of Diprivan abuse for the journal Anesthesia & Analgesia, said that propofol would be “probably undetectable” in the bloodstream in 20 minutes after a single dose.

But he said that there are other ways that pathologists have used to identify presence of the drug in autopsies, if they know what to look for. “You can find it in the urine,”Wischmeyer said. “There’s a test you have to know how to do. There aren’t a lot of labs that know how to do it. But if you know, you can do it... It wouldn’t be a test a coroner could do, but they could send out for it.”

If it involved a needle, I doubt MJ administered anything to himself. A couple of ppl have already said he hated needles...even the ones for acupuncture. Other medication in pill form? It's possible.

What I hate to think is if he was given the wrong medication. Meaning he thought he was taking one thing which normally wouldn't have hurt him and was accidentally given something else which did.

Well, I do not know. I know that here in Brazil where this kind of thing happens when the person dies me house, the house is immediately banned by the police. I know it was all very fast, but for me it is a fact that was a big mistake not prohibit the police the house immediately. The scenario of the situation was stirring.

Questions:
1) What if Michael ASKED for more medication because he couldn't sleep - say even the morning of 25th June?
2) If indeed he was addicted to painkillers, and 'doctor shopped' - are they still Enablers if they didn't know about each other?
3) I still wonder how all his AEG insurance health checks came out clean? That really makes no sense - unless something in them was forged.

Comments:
4) Even if all his medical records have been subpoenaed, everyone who is reporting on CNN right now says he used prescriptions with different names - so unless all those records get subpoenaed...the evidence will be limited...correct?

Fears:
5) I am afraid that he was really addicted to painkillers. I hate that the media have got me thinking this way - I am angry at him for not letting people help him fight it, but sad at the same time that this was perhaps his only way to escape.

Just very sad right now..i want them to do this privately and stop speculating - but i'm also caught up in wanting to know the truth.
ARGH!

Sometimes I keep thinking
what if what if what if

Like what if Michael was still living in the UK peacefully, why did he have to come to America? He didnt have to even have a tour. He might have still been here :(

Questions:

2) If indeed he was addicted to painkillers, and 'doctor shopped' - are they

I reckon so yes. The thing is, if mike really wasnt feeling good- HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL PERIOD!

i cant imagine being given an iv during the day though, he died at 3pm right? seems like an odd time to go to sleep..or it acted on his body hours later? i dont get it
