Who deserves the 'Queen Of Pop' title > and even beyond titles...who do you really like better?

IMO, I think they are both talented and all but Madonna has a better singing voice whereas Britney sort of seems much nicer in her personality. Also, Madonna wears fur :p so I don't like her > though some of her songs are good. I like a couple of songs from 'Hard Candy' : Give In 2 M and Miles Away
From Britney some of my faves are Toxic, Oops...I did it again, I'm A Slave 4 U, and ...Baby One More Time.

well britney is a clone of madonna. itsl like saying is timberfake better than mike lol

Well, they're both basically talentless in terms of musicality and dance, but Madonna is vastly more intelligent and has overall better songs. So, Madonna. Britney's sweeter though, lol. But that doesn't really count.

madonna. she has great music .. but she aint no dancer. she has a unique voice and is a great entertainer. powerful woman.

and i could live without britneys music and dancing i dont like any late 90s early 2000s boybands for that matter that came out around her. something got ruined in music around that era i think. for some reason i got really utterly annoyed..but yea..

whatt? madonna has a song called 'give into M'? hahah...here we go again..like..'give into me'. lol..

anyway...i like britney better cus she has more better songs.

LOL ... yea she does. It's actually even a bit like Michael's > in terms of overall feel.

it's called Give It 2 Me and sounds nothing like Give In To Me, lol.

I like Britney, cause she likes Mike:p:p:p and I don't like Madonna because she's cocky and dissed Mike in the passed;) But I prefer Madonna's music.

Maonna has had a 25 year career, which she basically did on her own, arriving in New York with nothing except a suitcase and working her way up though the club scene before her demo was heard by the head of SIRE records. She worked in Dunkin Donuts to get money for studio time, did some dodgy modeling and art house films, and basically did it the hard way.

Britney on the other hand got lucky with the Micky Mouse Club and Star Search and had pushy parents who did all the ground work. When it all got to much for her, she crahed and burned as she didnt have the life skills to be able to look after herself. Her life now, while it is getting back on track, is totally controlled by lawers and advisers.

Madonna is now and always has been in total control of her life. While you might not like her songs or some the things she does, you have to agree she is an amazingly stong willed woman, who knows what she wants and will do anything to get there.

Britney needs to go a long way before she can even be half as good as Madonna

I think they're both too different to even compare.

I respect Madonna since she reeeeally cares about her music and also co-writes and shit.
But I like Britney because she is the shit in stage, or at least she was before her break down.
Madonna has that fearlessness I love in artists, like she often comes with shit that is just straight out of the box. Like when she dropped "Die another day", or the choose the Above & Beyond remix of "What it feels like for a girl" as the version featured in her video, or just like her whole persona is so "I'm me, fuck ya'll".

I like them both, but in different ways, and 9 times out of 10 I prefer the Britney song. But when I like a Madonna song it's a song that's epic like "Die Another Day", "Frozen" or "The Power of Goodbye".

The only comparison I can see between them is that they're both "out there mentally", and people love artists that are messed up, and what people love most is a come back.
How many farewell tours has Barbara Streisand been on again? And I can't even name a single song from her, lol.

I think they both made some sort of impact on music (madonna's being greater, though) I respect the 80's and 90's madonna and how she did her own thing and paved the way and blah blah blah....so I gotta say Madonna

Madonna has had a much longer career so I don't think it's fair to compare yet. I'll wait to compare till Britney is Madonna's age. Right now I still prefer Britney though.

Madonna has the longevity but the best way to compare is going by impact early on and Madonna has better songs and more impact. but they were handled differently. Madonna started out in the Pop/R&B format whereas Britney always been Pop.

albums=Madonna

songs and catelog=Madonna

on stage=Madonna

who has the most to gain as a artist over time=Britney

Thank you for saying that. Madonna's music seems to get lost in the fold at times (despite being classic) due to her sometimes "out there" image. Yes, she is a very visual artist but she also puts a lot of thought and heart in to her music. Madonna is very creative and what you see on screen or on stage is a representation of what she put in to writing. Madonna's been here for as long as she has because of her incredible strong will, talent, and constant evolution as an artist and person. People can say what they want about Madonna the person and Madonna the singer, but she is most certainly an artist. More often than not, the haters haven't even heard a full Madonna album. She has plenty to say and even at her poppiest there is a message.

As for whom is better??? Madonna. Easy. I love Britney too. She is a sweet girl with fun music and who has had a rough go at life. The music is indeed fun but that's about it. There isn't really anything behind it. She hasn't contributed much as far as writing or production goes. Once she takes a more hand on approach to her career and music we can then decide whom is what. Then again, no one can ever really replace Madonna in history. Her name alone is easily one of the most famous and legendary.
