I'm sorry are you saying they did a study on drinking diprivan? I'm not sure what you mean by 'drank diprivan' study?

Yes some south american students took part in a study where they drank diprivan to see what happened. nothing happened. the pros want to use the study but the judge has to rule on it as it wasnt a published study

why did they do the study? is there a link to this study if it was published?? also, is shafer the pharmacologist finally, or is that someone else??

Some top anethatist in chile carried out the study. it wasnt just some random students.

shaffer is an expert on dip dont know if hes a pharma....

http://galvestondailynews.com/ap/7c951c/good linda d article. pros winding down their case three experts to testify.names given of them. shafer been the last.

This is a great article and something caught my eye. Flabergan is admitting that Murray did make an IV by saying Michael could have pushed it when Murray was out of the room. Call me crazy but I thought they were saying he did not do that? And if Michael did touch it where are his fingerprints? Is i it not reasonable to assume Michael's fingerprints should be on something you keep saying he touched?

^^More nonsense. I guess Michael woke up groggy, put on some gloves, injected himself and died immediately, but was also able to remove the gloves after dying immediately.

It seems this case is winding down, so we should have a verdict before the end of the month.

Volit that comment from the CBS article, is just another media group trying to try the case in the media. Here we have a Coroner, who conducted the autopsy telling us what caused the death, but some people sitting in armchairs disagree and want to give their version. More nonsense.

After today, will the defense witnesses go on stand?

according to ABC tweets:

Today's witnesses: Cardiologist Dr. Steinberg, Pulmonary & Sleep Expert Dr. Nader, Propofol Expert Dr. Shafer
The study was performed in Chile where 6 students volunteered to drink Propofol and were tested to see how much ended up in the stomach.

Court has resumed

Next Witness is Dr Steinberg

I wrote this on the other thread and I wanted to post it here.

But, someone on TruTv said something very insightful that I didn't really consider. One on the lawyers said that there is no such thing as a 'fatal' dose of propofol according to doctors. Any amount of it can stall your breathing and it's the doctor's job to be there when that happens to ventilate the patient. So, even if Murray only 'gave' 25mg that amount could had caused problems given the other drugs in his system and stopped his breathing.

They even went one further and said that even if Michael self-injected, Murray should had still been there because it would have been a fairly simple task of reviving Michael if he had the right equipment. Since there is no safe amount the patient always has to be watch, therefore the amount of propofol in Michael's body is a moot point. The fact that Murray wasn't there to save his patient is the real bottom line.

So 1: Michael basically overdosed with Loraz pills ...when murray injected the propofol he watched him for several minutes, saw no problems then went to the bathroom, came back in 2 minutes (how does he know how long it was?) found michael "instantaneously dead and blabla
2. No,Michael took the pills woke up groggy, managed to find a prepared syringe, inserted it into the iv port then shoved it in and instantaneously died but murray found a pulse when he came back from the bathroom...
or wait...

Bah, this is all just to throw mud up and see what sticks to the wall

I think the current witness might be a good one. Talking quite in depth about what kinds of things Cardiologists do day-to-day.

Dr S - is a cardiologist - doctor of the heart, explaining importance of heart and how it works, sort of testing they do - like echo cardiograms, cat scans etc.

They are not cardio thoracic surgeons.

As cardiologinst Not an expert in sleep, addiction medicine

He is board certified, and Murray was not board certified as of June 25th. 90% of cardiologist who take the exam pass it, not saying its an easy exam.

Wonder if he's hinting about Murray.

Steinberg's been practising for 13 years. A whole hosts of interniship exams string of degrees , work experience & what not. Board certified. Heart specialist. Cardiology. Cad scan board certified,
Has reviewed CM creditentials NOT board certified. Ha!

Dr. Steinberg is aware that Murrary was not Board Certified on June 25th 2009.

Dr. Steinberg works with 9 other Cadiologists who are ALL board certified & he's a Chief Caridologist in Ventura.
