"MUSICAL RETURN: Keyboard player and music director Kevin Antunes is back here for four months as he works on Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson One” premiering this summer at Mandalay Bay. He performed similar duties for director Jamie King on Michael Jackson’s “Immortal” World Tour, which began its global trek after a month at Mandalay.

Kevin told me that every song for “One” will be different from those he worked on for “Immortal.” He remixed all of the original music from the Michael Jackson recordings and is credited as musical designer for both spectaculars. Rehearsals are in their third week at the transformed Mandalay Theater.

“I’m looking forward to calling Las Vegas home again after being on the road trip around the world since October 2011,” he added. “Immortal” has generated more than $400 million and was the highest-grossing U.S. tour in 2011 and the second highest last year."

Wow!!

That's impressive!!

And MJ Estate will get half? So all costs taken into consideration, still MJ Estate must have earned around $150 million! - Maybe even more!!

I don't think it's generated 400 million, 250+ millions is more accurate in my estimation. By it ends, I think immortal will be among the highest gross tour of all time. A great achievement for a Michael Jackson concert without Michael Jackson.

^ Yes i agree, prob under $200m. Last year the tour grossed just under $150m, so where did the other quarter billion $ come from? And it wasn't the top grossing us tour in 2011, how could it - it only opened in october. Maybe an idea for this chap to check facts before speaking to the media.

Billboard Magazine presented its annual Touring Awards during the evening of November 8, 2012 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City. The event included the special Creative Content Award for Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour. The award was accepted by John Branca, co-Exeuctor of the Estate of Michael Jackson, and Chantal Trembley, Creative Director at Cirque du Soleil. Also attending the awards were members of the Estate and Cirque teams and a couple of the designers for the show – Zaldy Goco (costumes) and Travis Payne (one of the show’s choreographers).
