I wasn't sure which threadto put this bit of news as I think there is going to be some talk about certain parts of the article. Moderators can move if this is in the wrong place.

A new Michael Jackson show not only keeps his legacy alive, brothers Tito and Jackie tell Chrissy Iley, it's reunited a family torn apart by the singer's death.

Here I am in the bowels of the giant Staples Center in Los Angeles, a historic venue that’s held some of the greatest pop concerts of all time. It’s where the Grammys are held.
It’s where Michael Jackson was rehearsing for his final tour – 50 dates at London’s O2 Arena – the show he hoped would prove to the world he was capable of a comeback.
When he died three years ago at the age of 50, Michael had accumulated debts of nearly half a billion dollars. But, as someone once said, dying is a great career move, and thanks to astute management and exploitation of his back catalogue, his estate is back in the black.
Tonight I’m here to see just a small part of his plundered legacy – Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour – Michael Jackson songs performed alongside the acrobatics of the Cirque Du Soleil, a visual feast of dance, fantasy and Vegas-style visuals.

A blacked-out limo sweeps under the building. And then a second identical limousine. Tito Jackson emerges from the first, resplendent in an embroidered turquoise shirt. His brother Jackie, in black jeans and a fitted black jacket, steps from the second car.
There have been so many inter- generational and inter-sibling feuds since Michael’s death it’s hard to work out who’s on whose side. There were stories that his mother Katherine, 82, was too frail to look after Michael’s children Prince, Paris and Blanket.
He very clearly designated his beloved mother as their guardian and his will left money to her, the children and his favourite charities, but he made a point of excluding his abusive father and former manager Joseph – and his siblings. Apparently this didn’t go down well with some of them.
Jermaine, Rebbie, Randy and Tito were on one side of the dispute and LaToya, Marlon and Jackie the other, with Janet changing her mind. Many of them had received allowances from their superstar brother for years, which stopped at his death.
But there’s harmony on the horizon. Tito and Jackie are here to support the show, and Tito tells me all the siblings love it. ‘It’s a great production. I’ve seen a few Cirque shows, and they’ve taken everything my brother stood for musically and put it into a Cirque-type production.

As well as the Cirque show, the brothers are on a world tour singing Jacksons songs without Michael, which does seem rather odd

It’s an overview of his musical history, from the early Motown days all the way up. I was very emotional the first time I saw it. It takes you back and it makes you sad because we were very close as brothers at that time. Michael would have loved it, he loved Cirque shows. I feel connected to him when I’m watching it. And I get the same feeling when I tour with the brothers.’
As well as the Cirque show, the brothers are on a world tour singing Jacksons songs without Michael, which does seem rather odd. Obviously it’s another financial opportunity. Tito, 51, says sadly, ‘You certainly feel his absence. When we did those songs we’d be on stage and he would be running back and forth. Now there’s no running. But I feel he’s with us all and giving us support.’
Does he feel he can talk to him? ‘Yes.’ If Michael were here now, what would he ask him? ‘That’s a hard question.’
There’s a long silence, and I say I would ask him if he ever felt loved. What does he think? It’s as if the emotion of the question is a tennis ball that’s been flung in his face. ‘I don’t know if those would be the right words to choose.’ I wait, hoping he will have an opinion. ‘I can’t answer that for you.’
Much has been written about the family feuds – can he set the record straight? ‘We all love the Cirque show. We’ve all seen it together and everybody is OK. They call me Tito Tiptoe because I tiptoe out of situations, but I don’t have any information.’
He is at least talking to his brothers as he’s on the road performing with them, so there’s some movement towards a happy family. ‘When the brothers are on tour it’s the most fun. Always something to joke about, although there’s always something to cry about. Missing Michael is something you never, ever heal from. You just want to touch him. We have great memories of being kids.’
Tito has a very selective memory. Michael told in great depth that their childhood was filled with hard work, gruelling deadlines and physical reprimands from father Joseph if they didn’t get a routine right. Nonetheless, tiptoeing Tito, who always gives well-rehearsed replies at interviews, seems palpably moved.
Does he have a keepsake from Michael? ‘When he was exonerated from court [Michael was acquitted of sexual abuse charges in 2005] he gave me one of his Bentleys. He said, “It’s the one I drive and everyone who drives with me signs the ceiling.”

'There were signatures on the roof from Beyoncé and other celebrities. I don’t even drive it. It’s my pride and joy. Every time I sit in it I feel his presence.’ He shakes his head. ‘It’s painful. It’s changed me. I’m not as happy...’ He tries to finish.
‘Maybe this show keeps his being alive, not just his legacy.’ Has losing Michael brought the family closer together? ‘No matter what differences divide any family, it’s blood and love that will always glue it together. When you have a death in a family, you realise how precious and how valuable you are to each other.’
Jackie, 61, is introverted, quieter than Tito. He looks through you; almost hunted. The Michael Jackson Cirque collaboration was partly his idea. ‘I was confident that if you put Michael Jackson and Cirque together it would be spectacular. And it is,’ he says.

If you like Michael Jackson songs and the daredevil antics of Cirque Du Soleil, you won’t be disappointed. There are plans for a second show with different songs.
‘When Michael sang a cappella as a boy, you could see how much talent he had,’ says Jackie. ‘He was the special one. He got into the recording studio, he just knew what to do, instinctively. I carry pieces of him with me. I have a diamond glove of his I use as a keychain. I carry it all the time.’
Jackie’s also enjoying touring with his brothers again.
‘We’re tearing it up, we’re having a great time.’ Long pause. ‘We miss Michael, though.’

That is the car that all celebrities signed during What more Can I give charity song, which we talked here:
http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/threads/128246-Today-in-Michael-Jackson-History-January-22nd

I'm having serious doubts whether MJ gave that car for Tito, and that diamond clove that Jackie has. One moment he says that its the car he drives, next he says he doesn't drive it?
Funny that both of them say the keepsake they have of MJ is worth of thousands of dollars if not millions. I wonder what Randy, Jermaine and LaToya has as keepsake?

Does anyone else get odd vibes of that interview?
I got suspicious as to why all of sudden they have to insert question of what have they got for keepsake from MJ.
Was it interviewers idea to ask what they have for keepsake or did brothers told to ask that?

Very strange article. It is over a year since Cirque played at the Staples Centre. They are here in Europe at the moment.

Are they trying to say everyone loves the Cirque Show? I don't believe that when some showed zero support for it publically anyways. Randy and Janet support nothing from the estate. I really don't get them and the way they think I am sorry. Sometimes they sound supportive and then other times they hint at other things that are not so supportive. I can't keep up.

I get odd vibes because we already posted this interview a year ago - I don't know why Daily mail is posting a stale year old interview. Tito was saying MJ told him everyone that rode with him signed it and then Tito said , but I don't drive it. The signatures are actually from "What more can I give" singers. It was suppose to be auctioned off for a charity that was to be associated with that song. But then MJ had to can all that when the allegations came in and the song couldn't be released etc etc . He very well may have given it to Tito but I'm thinking for payments for some sort of favor .. its certainly not a keepsake kind of gift ..

Michael gave him a Bentley? Are these the kind of gifts they're going to talk in the trial? Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel that Bentley was taken without Michael's permission. I think, since the bodyguards were in proximity to Michael, might know from where & when that car was removed from Michael's property or Tohme, he might know more about this Bentley.

The bolded "There’s a long silence, and I say I would ask him if he ever felt loved. What does he think? It’s as if the emotion of the question is a tennis ball that’s been flung in his face. ‘I don’t know if those would be the right words to choose.’ I wait, hoping he will have an opinion. ‘I can’t answer that for you.’"

I believe Michael felt used.

That article, was it written by a kid. It jumps around in a senseless way, and at times you do not know if it a Jackson talking or the writer. It is a rambling, mumble, jumble bit of nonsense, and I notice he did get to mention the debt. The only people who can give valuable information about the Cirque show is the estate & Cirque, so why is this reporter asking a Jackson? I notice that a Jackson is acting like he had a major role in bringing Michael & Cirque collaboration together, when we all know that the estate tried to give him a job to keep the family happy.

Can you post me a link to that year old interview?
I did a Google search with certain timeline, and this interview with Tito and Jackie didn't come up?

I checked author's twitter, and seemingly she was in LA 27th March, so she obviously met with brothers.
I don't know what she is talking about Cirque as they are in Europe at the moment, so how could they be in Staples like Stella already mentioned. Immortal was @ Staples in Jan and August last year.

Curious interview indeed!

You are thinking that the car was payment from Mike to Tito that he showed up in trial beside MJ?
That could be possible as wasn't some other family member request money for their appearance too, so Tito asking a car is no brainer. I personally would like to know whether that car was still in MJ's garage when he died.

Maybe I'm misjudging Tito, but I really don't believe much of what they say. I also have the same question, where was the car when Michael died? or better yet, under who's name the tittle of car is?

If Michael gave him the car, good, but if not, wouldn't the estate should be doing something to get the car back?

The Estate would know the inventory of MJ's possessions. Seems they have not questioned ownership of this Bentley
at least not publically

I can not find that exact interview above.. but there were interviews of that time it was Jan 27 2012
When they appeared together .. at Staples in LA after watching Immortal - Their mother is suing AEG I cant see them doing a recent interview there ... being AEG owns the Staples Center. This article is most likely about an interview from last January, When Jackie and Tito appeared together. I just can't see it as being recent.. becuase the interviewer above says "Tonight I’m here to see just a small part of his plundered legacy – Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour .... Tito and Jackie are here to support the show, and Tito tells me all the siblings love it. ‘It’s a great production. Here is an access hollywood interview from that same day..

Thanks Qbee.
I think this interviewer pieced 2 interviews together, using old interview with brothers and then adding new bits to it, and pass it as brand new:)
New bits include a little bit of brothers touring and keepsake items they have from Michael, curious indeed?

I'm sure if those items were taken from Michael's house, the estate will not fight for them publicly, but privately.
I think there is more to it and we will be hearing about it soon.
After MJ's passing, I don't trust any of the Jacksons when it comes to telling the truth.

We are asuming the item was taken. and not given.
I'm pretty sure it was given to Tito like he said by MJ but for what I don't know.

I was under the impression that this interview was published when it was because immortal had returned to the uk and was on in manchester around easter.

Tito spoke of mj giving him this car with the sigs at the david gest documentary premiere. He was asked for his favourite memory of mj and he said being given this car by mj towards the end of mj's 05 trial. Mj had probably worked out that either he was going to jail or he was fleeing into exile and so wouldn't need the car anymore. An unusual favourite memory of his brother - that child molestation trial was a real downer, but hey every cloud has a silver lining, i got a car out of it. I'm sure tito didn't mean to sound quite like that but i'm afraid that's the impression he gave to me.

Tito once claimed that in 2005 after he showed up in Neverland to support MJ , MJ asked him to accept the car as a gift and told him that was because "you're the only one who has not ever asked me for anything" .

what a liar
