For whatever reason, they didn't see any immediate profit in a 25th-anniversary reissue of the "Dangerous" album. While I think that was extremely foolish of them, I also recognize its their choice to make. All the requests and petitions in the world won't make any difference, unless more people start speaking with their wallets. Personally, I wish that Michael's family was more directly involved with his estate, especially Katherine, Janet, and his kids. Conflicts or not, they were the ones who seemed to care most about him, along with Tito and Rebbie (the only siblings to appear in "Life Of An Icon").
Rebbie so cared about him that she threw him under the bus during the trial for her buddy Stacy Brown. She's only a step above LaToya in terms of betrayal.

Not to mention Rebbies and Janets involvement in granny gate against MJs children.

I don't know what makes you think that these people and a 80yo woman who cant even properly fulfill her guardian obligations would manage MJs legacy better. Don't you remember the kind of projects the family launched? Tacky belts, signing MJs kids up to fraudsters like the porn producer Howard Mann, and constantly overemphasizing the family (themselves) instead of MJ.

God I don't even want to imagine the crap we'd have by now if they were running the show.

There's only three Jacksons who should have a say in the future of Michael Jackson's legacy, and they were all born from 1997 onwards.

Whatever the Estate releases in the future, John Branca and John McClain will always be the men who signed off on 3 songs on an official MJ release that had fake vocals.

No force of nature can break your will to self motivate.

I don't know anything about Stacy Brown, but LaToya's betrayals were forced on her by violent ex-husband Jack Gordon. Glory to God for LaToya escaping that manipulative bastard.

Not to mention Rebbies and Janets involvement in granny gate against MJs children.
I don't know much about Rebbie in total, and I only heard one story about Janet being turned away from Michael's house...but I missed the details.

This is the first I've heard, of anything like this.

I know Jermaine has had ego issues in the past, but I don't know anything about the others. Janet seemed to defend Michael more than anyone besides their mother on a regular basis, as far as the family was concerned. I was very surprised by her absence from "Life Of An Icon", but I'm glad Tito and Rebbie offered their memories.

I don't really have an opinion if the songs are real or not but I don't think they would purposely put fake songs on the album. I'm sure they thought they were real.

It's safe to say today they realize the songs are most probably fake, yet purposely continue selling them. They are signing off on these songs every day the songs are on sale.

It's the other way around: the lawsuit will remain ongoing as long as they are not doing anything about it.

I don't mean to sound pessimistic or ungrateful but as fans of one of the biggest artists ever it's sad that we have to relay on leaks for "new" material. I've been a MJ fan since Earth Song but the releases after MJ's passing (bar Bad 25 and Xscape) have been pretty bland. It used to be really exciting whenever there was rumours of a new project or something in the works, now, i just find my enthusiasm for releases drained slightly. I'll always be a fan but just in terms of official new stuff it's not looking good, well, in my opinion anyway.
I also feel the same way. Especially after reading the listing of the songs that is new album that will be later this month. Which I am not going to be getting since I have all the songs that are on it. And I have heard the songs countless times before. As one of Michael's somewhat older fans. I've been a fan of his since the early to mid 80s. I am 37 years old now. So I am not getting any younger about wanting to hear the never before heard MJ songs. The one MJ book I have is the new and revised version of For The Record. It lists of all the songs Michael had recorded and stuff like that. And there is just so many songs that Michael had recorded over the years that us fans has yet to hear. Somewhere In Time and Tragedy Of A Cheerleader is 2 MJ songs I have been waiting so long to hear now. And both of those songs were recorded. And it has gotten to a point that I am never going to get to those 2 songs. As well as all the others that he had recorded over the years. I just wish the estate would read that book. So they can only released MJ albums that only has songs that us fans has never heard before. And not albums with songs that us fans has heard countless of times before.

I was very sheltered as a kid, but its become a little more deliberate as an adult. I simply don't watch most news programs anymore, be they celebrity-related or otherwise. 90% of it is just one horrible tragedy after another...and I have enough personal drama of my own. I didn't even know about Jack Gordon until maybe five years ago...and then LaToya's past claims made a lot more sense.
