Akon covers Wanna Be Startin' Something

let's see...it's been a week now since the opening of our new home? can we all just get along?...:lol: I'm behaving!:lol::lol:
 
Although, I have to come back to merely say.....

After watching the video on youtube just now....

Will.I.Am should have left Mike's WBSS alone! :lol: He's a great artist in his own right, but umm babyboy jacked that up! :rollin:


Now see how I gave my opinion and STILL GAVE props to the ARTIST?! Very simple folks............... :kickass2:
 
But what if the artist sucks ass!? lol, j/k (sort of)

I mean, if you personally can't find anything good about the artist, do you really have to say you think, even if they did a bad cover or whatever, that even still, they're great? What if you don't think that they're great? Well, nevermind, I shouldn't be arguing, cause its the rules, sorry mello and everyone, I'm done now.

Personally, if you don't find that artist entertaining in the least bit, why even comment on them AT ALL? That should be the REAL QUESTION! :lol:

And it shouldn't be a question at all. Simply move on to the next thread, topic, or what have you. Commenting on something you don't like is a waste of time, energy, and space. Just simply...............EASE ON DOWN THE ROAD! :kickass2:

Well, you comment on things simply to generate conversation and create differing points of perception to allow people to think, that's all. If you have a negative opinion about something, you should be able to air it without it being questioned, just like if you have a less then favorable opinion about say, a politician, you should be allowed to air it, so that other people can maybe look at it in a different way. You could say what's the point in talking positively about anything? There isn't any other then wanting to share that view point and put it out there for others to digest, to think about, and because, as with stating a negative opinion, it allows you to release what it is you feel inside, which keeps us all sane in the end, lol. If we weren't allowed to say we are dissatisfied with something, then we would have a very bleak outlook, in my view.

Okay, now I PROMISE I'm done, haha.

And if that is YOUR perception of what should or shouldn't be, in life. Then don't condemn the Media and the likes, for CON-FU.CKING Michael the way that they do. Because, after all, it IS their opinions. Whether true, untrue, good, bad, or ugly.

Well, you minsunderstood what I mean, stating things as opinion versus stating things as fact, which is what the media often does, is two different things. Slandering ones character by stating falsehoods as facts is what the media does, they give no counter view points and don't make it clear that its opinion or bother to check whether its a blatent lie. But its the PC movment in this country which is destroying it. But that's okay. I'm done.

It's nice when other artists try to pay homage to another one's work, but I only have ears for Michael....that is, when it's his music being covered. It's gotta be the right artist and the right vibe, or else it just won't fly.

I think the real reason is that the music and producing on Thriller was simply so beyond everything else that was being done back then, no other sound could match it's penticle. It has a sound all it's own.

Sorry Akon, but Michael's version just has that unmistakeable beat! :)

I agree with this rule. Otherwise we are putting other artists in the same critical position we protect our Michael so vigorously from.

just wanted to ask for one exception to this rule and that is against those that have blatant disregard or disrespect for our man, Michael Jackson. Yes or no? LOL ;)

an MJ fan and there is NO verification of
what this is ... also MJ doesnt place leaked
material on his albums ... heck it may not
even be Akon ... people are putting all kinds
of fake tunes up and trying to link them to
Mj in some way - Im not worried Mj will not
allow 2nd class material on one of his albums.

Even Will I. am said Mj turned down some of his
ideas so he just used them on his own album.
said it was no sweat ..

Michael sees potential and talent in places others don't.. True artists can see something not developed, rusty, even broken and SEES what IT CAN BE..

With everyone that works with Michael, Michael sees what they CAN do, not what they HAVE done.

The same way a musician hears a drum sound and creates a complete composition.. Michael hears Akon, and can SEE what MICHAEL can do with it. He uses himself and other musicians AS INSTRAMENTS that he develops into a song.

Michael has chosen many people I would not give a DAY thinking over.. SHAQ doing a rap sequence for the KING OF POP? I would not even give it one thought.. Michael did, and it turned out well..

Michael knows what he's doing, and KNOWS what's good.

well, as Michael said in his interview.. he will work with anybody... and I agree with what KOPV said...about Michael's ingenious-ness...

in any case.. in comparison to whats out there in the charts today.. this Akon version is just fine....

also my local radio station keeps playing Rihanna's DONT STOP THE MUSIC... love the MJ sample.. .. Michael's music continue to be played in club.. ... all this winter...and I am sure Def Jam sent that royalty check right over to Mijac Publishing for using the sample...
