"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

They’ve done a good job with the Thriller era. Impressive. Really intrigued how he will look as Michael in his later years.

Exactly this. People are mad he is 'being the new MJ' and he 'shouldnt tour with the jacksons in Michael spot' and whatnot. But people also moaning about he doesnt look like a Michael clone.

People it's a movie and Jaafar is the actor. It shouldnt look that realistic like the real Michael is in the movie. He looks close enough and maybe post production might tweek some things.

Without sounding too controversial, someone made a good point on X that those people complaining that Jaafar looks nothing like Michael , yet swear that Prince. Paris and Bigi look almost identical to him 😳

In those top 2 pics Jaafar looks like Michael, bottom 2 he us Jermaine's double 😁 but quite clearly a Jackson.

Doesn't your common sense indicate you, that not just you, non-fans too would love to see this on the big screen? And don't come tell me "there is no market for it" lmao... okay dude, just admit you got a crush for Jafaar or some shi. But don't say seeing Jafaar is better than MJ. PERIOD.

Twitter is a special place! Lol. It's why I have decided to not even tweet from my main account for the time being because it's getting beyond ridiculous with some new and old fans alike. Although I might look at some stuff sideways, I don't expect this biopic to get every detail right. We as fans know what things are to look like but the average public does not. So, as long as Lionsgate does a good job, I'm good. I agree with you about the nitpicking!

You appear to be anti Jaafar for some odd reason. You're disregarding him like he's just another MJ impersonator in a cheap outfit.

I really hope we get to see a trailer soon, he's been receiving amazing praise so far from those who are working with him during filming and from those who seen the teaser trailer.

A 4K concert will not give the world a chance to understand who the real man was , it's just another concert, there's plenty of footage of him performing on youtube.

This film will hopefully set the record straight and boost his legacy in a huge way.

I didn't check the comments and don't plan to do so. But ... I hear you, lol. I can guess what some of those comments are saying, I might even agree with some of them, tbh. Every time I see photos of Jaafar ... hm ... how can I put this? I 'struggle', shall we say! Not gonna say any more bc the last time I was upfront with my opinions about Jaafar photos all kinds of nonsense kicked off and I am so not in the mood for any more of that. So I'll keep my thoughts to myself. Just know, there is SO much I could say. LOL.

I guess what I'm saying is, I can see this from both sides.

Mm, but tbf there are other comments that are also outrageous, imo. Comments which claim that Jaafar looks exactly like Michael to the point where people even say he IS Michael. I know that people don't really mean it the way it sounds, I get that people are very excited about this, the production values look pretty good so far, nothing can possibly be an exact replica and this thing can't be judged until we at least see the trailer and even that can only be a partial judgement. We have to wait for the full thing.

Just to be clear, I'm not knocking Jaafar and the comments from that CinemaCon screening were very interesting.
