A JACKSON JINGLE:

While Michael Jackson shopped Friday in Beverly Hills, he told onlookers he wasn't giving his children anything for Christmas -- at their request. Apparently his son Prince Michael came up with the idea to donate toys and clothes to shelters around the country, after seeing reports about people struggling with the tough economy. ... Jackson also said people will be ''really surprised'' by the change in direction in his new album, due out early next year. And upon seeing a girl run out of a store with a ''Thriller'' CD, he said that album and items related to it still are what fans most want autographed.

Everyone chooses their own model of the truth,
Molds & shapes it into their own image of what
They think it should look like,
And then toss away those other aspects that don't fit,
Like a used tissue.
The only reality most accept--is their own
Self-made reality.

It would be such a loss to the world.

Thank you for that. It help to balance out the Akon article which I am now glad I didn't post last night. We can at least keep hope alive.

I think that is awesome that his kids want to donate to others! We do the Angel Tree every year, and this year my daughter told me she didn't want her Aunt to get her anything, she wanted her to pick an angel from the tree and get a gift for that little boy / girl. I was very proud of her. I am sure he is very proud of his kids for that

nice story, but we don't know if it's true... was it the "chicago sun-times" that also had other rumours previously like michael doing a 3 cd album with one song featuring his son?

[EDIT] yep, that's it. the same guy called bill zwecker always coming up with strange-yet-positive rumours on michael jackson:

- the autobiography: http://www.mjj2005.com/kopboard/index.php?showtopic=38332
- the trio of albums: http://www.mjj2005.com/kopboard/index.php?...mp;#entry945516
- the trip to gary: http://www.mjj2005.com/kopboard/index.php?showtopic=36486
- some comeback rumours: http://www.mjj2005.com/kopboard/index.php?showtopic=29300

i wonder if the guy has some good sources or if he's just a fan with too much imagination lol.

Bummer. Now I can go back to being depressed about the Akon article.

Don't be depressed about anything. That article was already on thjis part of the forum once and Mello moved it to the tabloid section. Don't be depressed over something that we have no idea if there is any truth to, or not. I will repeat myself here. Since when did Akon become an official Michael Jackson source??

I see no reason for Akon to lie about something like that. He is someone who has been very supportive and on Michael's side from what I can see. If anything he sounds as bummed and frustrated with the paparazzi as I am.

You are right however in that he may just be expressing his opinion and for all we know Michael is putting up a smoke screen. Well, regardless, all we can do is wait and see at this point.

:angel:Your very welcome...I think all the staff at MJJC do a wonderful job maintaining respect and proper ethical
values...

We have got to always remember that unless it comes from Mr.Jackson's mouth or his represenitive, one must take things in interviews, the media, tabloids, with a grain of salt, decifer the difference of what is and what is not...

Mr.Jackson is a human comglomerate, therefore, people like to be in one way or another have some type of association with him...

For whatever their reasons are; I think it makes them feel more important, produce higher ratings, and/ or make more money for them...

Just be yourself and maintain a pure heart...and we will all be just fine..!

Thank you for the neeews!

Is Jermaine and Hazel still married? (Sorry if I ask a little dumb, but I am not really into it...)
IF they are, gz! :)

That's totally awesome if the report about Michael's kids wanting to give instead of recieve is true. I guess Prince is a chip off the old block, lol. Pretty amazing if you ask me. Thanks for posting. Let's hope it's true.

Guys lets focus on actual news not a tabloid article with no confirmations.

I thought the one about the kids was cute so I left it but yeah it's pretty much a tabloid one too

Goes to look for actual news...

Do you have a list somewhere what is tabloid and what not?

Oh I wish it were that easy. There are certain sites that are tabloid sites like the Sun and anything from Fox News. There are many sites that simply repeat what is running on other sites too which leads to lots of RF type articles floating around. If you have something and are unsure it's always best just to run it by staff first. We are happy to take a look at it

alright, thanks for the explanation, and I will do so.

Thanks for this news thread.

I loved what Prince Michael said about getting Christmas gifts. MJ did a great job raising his children.

No comment on that laughable Akon story.

Jermaine and Hazel are no longer married.

Rolling Stone recently sat down with Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody to discuss the artists and albums that influenced his band. The group has enjoyed hits on both sides of the Atlantic with “Run,” “Hands Open” and “Chasing Cars” (their most recent LP is A Hundred Million Suns). Check below for Lightbody on how U2 set the blueprint for U.K. bands to succeed in America, how Nirvana’s Nevermind inspired him to play guitar and what band he deems “the best British pop band since the Beatles.”

On Michael Jackson:

“The first record I remember playing loads of times was Thriller. And I don’t think it’s really influenced me that much. It’s just a brilliant record. Obviously, Michael Jackson means different things these days but for me still it’s a brilliant record. Nothing tarnishes great music, to be honest.”

I'm impressed. Not shocked, considering who his father is, but I'm impressed that at his age he's actually aware of what's going on in the economy and feels concerned about such things. Confetti for Prince...and a bit of confetti for his old man cuz it shows he's doing a great job. :)

I'm a terrible Catholic but I remember there's this passage somewhere in the good book about how "the little children shall lead them"... or something like that. Pardon my ignorance  BUT I think this is a good time to suggest any of us who are able this year to follow Prince's lead and remember to do our parts in giving to the less fortunate this season as well. If you're going to the mall to buy gifts or a little something for yourself, DO remember to look for the Angel Trees and the Toys for Tots boxes. Even if it's one small gift, or a 99 cent deck of cards...some child somewhere will appreciate the hell out of those cards cuz it might be the only thing they get for Christmas this year. :flowers:

Agree. :flowers: And I agree that "concert" didn't necessarily suggest a tour when MJ wrote that note...altho some ppl took it to mean as much. Time will surely tell one way or another.

Which song is that?

Give Love on Christmas Day. :newyear:

Thanks to all for posting the news and mentionings.

New face of law and order in the West Bank

The traffic policeman doing Michael Jackson-esque moves outside the Stars and Bucks café in busy Ramallah attracts a lot of attention. To many however, the sight of any Palestinian uniform in the West Bank is still a novelty. The dancing policeman is the face of a new force — trained in Jordan with US and European support — in an attempt to establish Palestinian law and order in the West Bank.
