Did MJ Find Love In The Dark (continued)

Sometimes I love this thread :)
I don't think I've heard Frank Sinatra's version of L.O.V.E. I L.O.V.E Nat King Cole's version. I love ALL his music.

Moddie, what was it that gave you the impression he wanted to somehow have his lady involved in the concerts? I probably missed it.

AllforMJ it is uncanny the coincidences you mentioned about this thread and his clothing.. hahaha he's really quite funny. I thought those animal print pants were out of the ordinary for him. How funny. Linda, I wonder if he was wearing the loin cloth underneath ;) .

Yeah! It took me a few minutes to get this, but when Michael recorded that song, "She" had no name known to the public ( not that we know now, but at this time, there has been suspicion though right or wrong of who this lady could be).

Could "take me tooo a place without no name" be about MJ confirming his love doesn't have a name known to the public and he was conveying he wanted to be taken to her, near her, in her arms, in her life again?

The word "Place' is used metaphorically as to describe when they are together Michael feel there are in a world all of their own, he obviosly feels/felt safe, loved and very happy there with her and wanted those feelings to all return.

Could that be it?

Could be she had no name at all, not even to him, and the song is a calling out for "her", a message to God to send him someone to make his life complete. Maybe she was someone he saw from afar but never met, or maybe he had a vision or dream of what she would be like almost in a euphoric sense? We all have a vision of our ideal dream person. Was she someone he was yearning for to help fulfill his desires and once he found her he knew that as long as they were together everything in their life would be alright? A true love sent from God that he knew once TOGETHER they could conquer the world?

..or maybe not, I dunno.....don't mind me I'm feeling a bit dreamy today.....lol

I love the acappella at the beginning of this.

Ok so I just finished watching "Age of Innocence" for the millionth time lol and it has nothing to do with lyrics but this line made me think of this thread for some reason  very odd.....

"Whenever he thought of Ellen Olenska it had been abstractly, serenely, like an imaginary loved one in a book or picture...she had become the complete vision of all that he had missed"

I need to stay away from romance movies.....LOL

Do any of you believe that line from the movie "Ghost" is true?

"The love inside, you take it with you".....

MJ: "Take meeeee toooo a place without noooo naaaaaaame..."

Hmmmmm...let's see. Is this another coincidence? :giggle:
OK AllforMJ you lost me on this one

but reading the other posts is helping me not feel quite as ... well ... slo? :giggle:

Wow, yours and Lily's thoughts are somewhat similiar in the sense they are kind of 'outside the box' whereas I took it pretty literally to mean, "take me to a place without a [known] name ... someplace nobody knows about where they'd never know or think to look for me" and I suppose I took the "her" part literally also since it says, "...she said don't u worry my friend "

... like, yeh you can come to live in my small town, or island, or village and no one will look there because the place has no [famous] name ... or maybe I need to work on my pretty pixie poetry interpretation skills.

AllforMJ, I sure would like to know what you meant when you posted this:

Hmmmmm...let's see. Is this another coincidence?
:better: u lost me at the word this

:)

You know what else was a really fun coincidence? When "Hold My Hand" came out the EXACT same day that this discussion about him being in love was continued! Your post on page 1 (post #6) is a reminder that it did. The discussion was continued on June 30, 2008 and "Hold My Hand" came out on June 30, 2008.

This thread, on page 1, mentions things from "Stranger In Moscow" such as "sunny days seem far away" and how he felt alone and cold inside. And this thread is titled, "Did MJ Find Love In The Dark? (Continued)"

Well, in "Hold My Hand" he sings, "When it gets dark and when it gets cold we hold each other till we see the sunlight."

Mike surrrre had those coincidences rollin' in like clock work, dontcha think?! lol

I'm really going to miss that. It was a lot of fun. He was a lot of fun!

I was just thinking that it's really cute...and funny...that MJ would just happen to record a song with the words "no name" in it while singing about a woman.

She said don’t you worry my friend
I’ll take care
Take my hand
I'll take you there
Ooohhh

Taaaake meeee toooo a place without noooo name

Thoughout the discussion in this thread about MJ singing about being in love, we have been saying it's best to have the discussion without trying to name anyone because MJ had never provided her name.

I mean, what are the odds that he would sing a song with the words no name it and while singing about a woman?! Of allllllll the things to sing and it just happen to fall in place like so many other things that he did not too long ago?

Uh-uh! I think he started playing around with this thread! I think he stumbled upon his love story and started filling in some of the blanks while still leaving blanks!

Bravo, Mike! :clapping:  LOL

I'm looking forward to seeing "This Is It" because he looks like he was having a lot of fun and feeling very upbeat!

Ape, to answer your question, I dont think you missed it, you may have just forgotten cause we had dialogue about it.

ok lemme explain, lol. Remeber that official site after( i think) MJ made the 02 announcement
in London? It had a new quote from Michael talking about, one in love, one in pain and blah blah blah? There was a little more and We interpreted that to mean, it sounded like Michael wanted "her" to be part of the shows somehow.

I can't find the quote or link right now. But do you remember that now?

Yes, I do believe that line is ghost is true. Since i was a child, I have always been taught that by my parents and older folks in my family. They all believe in the after life, spirits and loving loved ones in death and being Angels.

If anything, my dreams have revealed the love between Michael and this lady in life and death- Is very Real.

Yep i wouldnt be surprised if he did that!...mike sure was a joker & loved to tease us fans lol

Here you go Moddie.....:)

The Time Has Come
"It is now I see and feel that calling once again,
To be part of a music that will not just connect but,
Make all feel one, one in joy, one in pain
One in love, one in service and in consciousness"

Come to think of it reading this thread I just realized there's lots of songs about LOVE. Keyshia Cole "LOVE" one of my favorites and here's another song "LOVE" by John Lennon, also one of my favorites with very telling lyrics. :)

LOVE is real, real is love
LOVE is feeling, feeling love
LOVE is wanting to be loved

LOVE is touch, touch is love
LOVE is reaching, reaching love
LOVE is asking to be loved

LOVE is you
You and me
LOVE is knowing
We can be

LOVE is free, free is love
LOVE is living, living love
LOVE is needing to be loved.....:)

Question:
Do you ladies ever wonder why MJ chose the words "This is it" for this tour? Was that to be the album name? Seems his other tours were named after his albums. Is there a significant meaning other than this tour was going to be it as far as touring went? Had he come to a point in life where things were falling into place how he had always hoped and wished they would? Every time I hear those words it reminds me of one of the best Kenny Loggins (featuring Michael McDonald ) songs ever, "This is it". Although I know it's not an MJ song, and was written by Loggins for another reason, could he have at least been inspired by it or could it relate to this thread and some of the things we discuss about having trying times in each of their lives, but they've laid their feelings out because they finally found each other, forget the past it's all about here and now, stop trying to fight the feelings because life is too short, this is it, you will always be mine and we are meant to be together.....

There have been times in my life
I've been wondering why
Still somehow I believed
We'd always survive
Now I'm not so sure
You're waiting to hear
One good reason to try
But what more can I say
What's left to provide.....

You think that maybe it's over
Only if you want it to be
Are you gonna wait for a sign, your miracle
Stand up and fight

This is it
Make no mistake where you are.....this is it
Your back's to the corner.....this is it
Don't be a fool anymore.....this is it
The waiting is over.....
No room to run
No way to hide
No time for wondering why
It's here.....the moment is now..about to decide...let him believe
Or leave him behind
But keep me near in your heart
And know, whatever you do
I'm here by your side

You said that maybe it's over
Not if you don't want it to be
For once in your life, here's your miracle
Stand up and fight

This is it
Make no mistake where you are.....this is it
You're going no further.....this is it
Until it's over and done

No one can tell you what you know
Who makes the choice of how it goes
It's not up to me this time
You know there comes a day in every life

This is it
Make no mistake where you are.....this is it
You're going no further.....this is it
Until it's over and done.....this is it
One way or another.....this is it
No one can tell what the future holds.....this is it
Your back's to the corner.....this is it
You make the choice of how it goes.....this is it
The waiting is over.....this is it
No one can tell what the future holds.....this is it
You're going no further........................................

..or maybe I'm interpreting it wrong LOL oh well I love this song :chillin::heart: lol

I just watched the movie "Ghost" last night in honor of Patrick Swayze and I do believe that line to be very true.."The love you have inside, you take it with you." I very much believe in life after death and I believe that when two people love each other on earth that love is eternal and will always be there forever until you are reunited together in heaven :)

Who picked the title "This is it"- was that really himself or AEG or somebody else?

It just doesn't sound like Michael. "this is it" sounds so ordinary to me- and looking at the way he usually expressed himself- I find it somewhat surprising if he chose "this is it" all by himself. Please don't get me wrong, I hope somebody understands what I am trying to say.

"This is it" sounds more like the defiant middle finger you show someone. Maybe he was more in the "middle finger" kind of mood but I don't quite know what I am thinking yet.

Yep! I sure do.

Me too. I believe true love is eternal.

True love is eternal because the love you have for each other goes beyond death. You are connected spiritually to that person. Your hearts & souls are connected and that connection can never be broken. :) True love never dies..

I think I get you. I think it's because those three words could be used negatively or positively and the fact that he left us for good after saying those three little words makes it feel as though he meant it in a very negative and final way, almost kind of cruel actually when you really think about it - especially in light of the love story in this thread. But I don't think he meant for it all to come about the way that it did. I guess we will know more about the meaning of it after we see the movie.

Lily thanks for posting that statement from MJ, I hope Ape will see it now.

And about that question you asked in regard to "This is it" title. I can't believe we hadn't already discussed this! I can recall having thoughts about your very question when this title was revealed and I can honestly say when I first heard the 02 Shows would be called "This is it", I knew he was making some sort of declaration which immediately reminded me of what alot of people say when they are about to make a major move/decision in their own lives. Think about that for a second.

When we are arguing with our mates, friends, boyfriends, lovers, husbands or wives and we've had enough, what do we typically say?- This is it, I've had it.

When we are about to embark on a new professional path and we are trying to convince our loved ones we are doing the right thing. What do we typically say?- This is it, I found what really makes me happy and this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

And when we have found the love we know we can no longer live without. The love that makes us feel whole and complete. We want to take the ultimate step, hand in hand with them forever. What do we typically want to scream from the roof tops?- This is it. This is the one.

Get the picture ladies and Gents?, lol.

Yeh when he said that "this is it".. i thought that doesnt sound like mike. BUt then again maybe that was his "message" to everyone that, that was gonna be his last tour EVER.

I was just listening to this song by Bryan Adams....

Everything I do...

Look into my eyes - you will see
What you mean to me
Search your heart - search your soul
And when you find me there you'll search no more

Don't tell me it's not worth tryin' for
You can't tell me it's not worth dyin' for
You know it's true
Everything I do - I do it for you

Look into your heart - you will find
There's nothin' there to hide
Take me as I am - take my life
I would give it all - I would sacrifice

Don't tell me it's not worth fightin' for
I can't help it - there's nothin' I want more
Ya know it's true
Everything I do - I do it for you

There's no love - like your love
And no other - could give more love
There's nowhere - unless you're there
All the time - all the way

Oh - you can't tell me it's not worth tryin' for
I can't help it - there's nothin' I want more
I would fight for you - I'd lie for you
Walk the wire for you - ya I'd die for you

Ya know it's true
Everything I do - I do it for you

And it got me thinking....did he die for "her"??????

Okay, you are going to think this is odd...but then again, everything I do is odd!! LOL!

I was just conjecturing....MJ always wanted to get out of the spotlight...for quite a while now...maybe he did "die" just to get away from the public...but to get back with "her"? That he's not really dead, but he's living somewhere with his true love now? OMG. That sounds so sick - I just realized this. I just can't bring myself to think of the man - the massive presence of that man - as gone. I just can't do it.

Thanks Lillie. :)

Moddie :giggle: if you please don't mind, could u be so kind as to oblige me the same as AllforMJ did and help me get the connection. I remember the
first time reading what you'd said and I didn't follow you and now that it comes up again it gives me a chance to ask u, ... pretty please?

The Time Has Come
"It is now I see and feel that calling once again,
To be part of a music that will not just connect but,
Make all feel one, one in joy, one in pain

 Sometimes I seriously think I was behind the delivery room door when 'the ability to easily grasp poetic nuances' was being passed out.

Maybe he did..but why would he??

Why would he wanna leave his beloved?
Well, maybe not so much as wanting to leave his beloved as just that feeling of commitment I feel the song mostly implies. In another sense, the concept of "dying" "for" a beloved reminds me of the line in Fall Again that says, "I can bleed I can breathe I can die in my sleep 'cause you're always there in my dreams" To me that line is just too ironic, and yet to me it just means the person feels just that strongly, not so much they really want or desire to actually die because I don't feel MJ did actually want to. To "die" in one's sleep while dreaming of the beloved is in a sense to "be with" that person so it could be a reference to "dying" for someone or "dying" to be with someone. Oh well, kinda random thought I guess....or not ... I mean  right Linda? Is that something like what u meant?

Okay, you are going to think this is odd...but then again, everything I do is odd!! LOL!

Personally I don't find it inconceivable at all. It would certainly raise a lot of questions that this forum won't allow so we'd better leave it to the imagination, but as far as the concepts in this thread go, it certainly flows and makes sense that he would leave the spotlight to take on the possibility of living a normal life. As a human being, there's but so much abnormalcy anyone can take and MJ has had more than his share throughout his entire life. And I agree that as much as he undoubtedly enjoyed being the KOP he seemed to have had enough of certain aspects of it and isn't he the one who said, "don't stop til you get enough"

Yes, you don't mind being the "renegade" do ya? :giggle: you're so funny. Well, y'know that's one of those thoughts many might have but not post but it should be ok ... I don't believe any one person could have that thought without some others having it also, so I'm sure you're not alone in thinking that way.

True love is eternal because the love you have for each other goes beyond death. You are connected spiritually to that person. Your hearts & souls are connected and that connection can never be broken. :) True love never dies..
Yes, because it can't die. God is Love and God is Life Eternal.

 reminds me of the song MP posted from West Side Story (was just watching WSS last night! I love it too MP  )

...specifically the line at the end of the song that says,

"Make of our vows, one last vow, even death won't part us now"
I can't resist posting this scene between Maria and Tony :giggle:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A0fVWomF90

but here it is just the song without the preceeding scene

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUYKnWIyrzw

In listening right now I just realized it also goes with what Linda said, the line in the song that says, "now it begins, now it starts, one hand, one heart, even death won't part us now"

Awww linda  I understand how u feel, i get like that at times too. Especially when seeing the tralier for ''this is it'', its like as if he never left..but u know deep down he is :(. It's so hard to belive that he's no longer with us.

I know 8701girl. It still hurts thinking about the fact that he's dead, and wondering if he suffered at all. I just can't bear it sometimes.

I don't believe any one person could have that thought without some others having it also, so I'm sure you're not alone in thinking that way.

Yes, because it can't die. God is Love and God is Life Eternal.

 reminds me of the song MP posted from West Side Story (was just watching WSS last night! I love it too MP  )

...specifically the line at the end of the song that says,

"Make of our vows, one last vow, even death won't part us now"
I can't resist posting this scene between Maria and Tony :giggle:

but here it is just the song without the preceeding scene

In listening right now I just realized it also goes with what Linda said, the line in the song that says, "now it begins, now it starts, one hand, one heart, even death won't part us now"

Yes, that's what I meant...but then again not. Maybe I meant literally setting up his "death" so that he could be with his beloved, away from the paparazzi and all. That he realized that she and she alone was the only one for him, and that he needed to do something very drastic to get her back. Yeah, it's sick, but that's what I meant.

Maybe his children and his family are in on it too? What was Paris looking at, at the memorial? She was looking up intently....it was curious.

I know 8701girl. It still hurts thinking about the fact that he's dead, and wondering if he suffered at all. I just can't bear it sometimes.

you're the one who made me think of this
"now it begins, now it starts, one hand, one heart, even death won't part us now"
