This is ridiculous... Is it Michael or not? That's all we want to know. Sony are gonna see this whole project go down the drain if they can't salvage this with a statement.

As things stand I will not be buying this album with my money, I will be torrenting it from The Pirate Bay and I encourage others to do the same.

This feeling of hollowness at the moment I can compare only to how I felt when This Is It (the song) was released.

If Sony release the album and I buy a copy. I will sue them (seriously) for breaking trading laws and misselling goods.

If people think Jason is singing on this song, why aren't we asking him about it?
There must be a way to ask or did he just dissapear?

I also think the cascio guys should be asked instead of Teddy Riley right now.

feels sony obv think this is mj, so they have put it out for feedbak, well the majority of fans dont, cant see b.n making the tracklist now

They will have to provide proof that it is Michael and witnesses would have to be called. I'm going to give this some thought and speak with some lawyer friends. I'll keep you posted. :)

i was thinking about that, too.

why should they officially release sth saying its MJ, but its not. thats illegal, isnt it? someone will sue them who has evidence..

I don't understand one thing. How comes TJ listened to the acapella version of BN if Taryll said there are no other takes of the song?

I questioned the validity of the vocal's on "breaking news" and several other songs of theirs that I've heard and they told me no other takes or tracks exist.

Teddy Riley just said he can't provide proof through posting the accapella version. (someone asked him that)
He says only the Cascio's have that.
Again it seems we need to be asking them about all of this,not Teddy Riley at this point.
Didn't someone post a response given by them on twitter?

I am going to go all out here a bit and I am going to say that I believe the end of the song to be 100% Michael. Of course having said that, just because I can hear Michael, the vocals in question which I believe to be Michael, may not be from this song.

The verses I believe are not Michael at all.

I must say though I love the song. I think it could be hit material, and that is maybe what Sony are aiming for here. I think this is an unfinished MJ song, far from finished in fact, but in some sense, it is "too good" to pass up. If Sony could convinve everyone this is Michael then great for them.

However Sony has really done one over on themselves. I cannot even begin, in more realistic terms, to comprehend what Sony thinks they could achieve with this, unless they were convinced it was Michael, but even they obviously are not convinced it's Michael. The very fact that they had to bring in audio experts to verify it, suggests even they, doubted it too (or just were not sure). If it was Michael, there would have been no question about it to begin with.

This leads to even more questions. We have known for years Michael was in the studio working on, what I will call, "stuff". What exactly that amounts to is questionable, if far from finished Breaking News is one of them. Was most of it just experimentation with sounds/melodies? Are there any recorded songs at all? If there were, why would they need to concoct Breaking News like this?

However one could argue in favour of the to some degree. This to us, straight away, is not Michael. I mean come on, we are the fans, just how does Sony think they could fool us with this? If I were Sony, in that regard, and was not sure it was Michael, how would you get the fans to believe it was Michael, if they had no doubt in their minds it was Michael to begin with. However they clearly did like I said above having to get the vocals verified.

Oh Sony. I don't know what to think.

I am a Michael fan first and foremost, and in the hope that some material is authentic, I will still get the new album, and I will still wait for it with excitement and aticipation. For me, this is about Michael, first and foremost, not Sony. Their wins, losses, and their image mean nothing to me next to Michael.

And this, my friend, is why it's all a load of nonsense.

Sony are not perfect, they make the odd mistake as we know. But, after the 'TII' debacle, they will have checked every angle before putting out this song.

People are talking like they are a 'tin-pot', 'backstreet' company, set up only yesterday. They're not. And I doubt they will worry about a few hard-core, ('we knew Michael better than anybody 'cos we bought some of his records and tee-shirts'), fans, that think the earth is flat and the moon is made of cheese.

We had all this sh** before the TII album & movie came out ("We're going to show Sony who's boss by boycotting everything!"), and they were all put in their place by the massive success of it all.

In my opinion, the people who are trying to get others to boycott each and every MJ product are not real fans, they are just hating on something - anything - and they don't care if MJ's legacy gets hurt in the process.

You can be sure, if this album does flop - the way some of you want it to - it won't hurt Sony anywhere near as much as it hurts Michael's legacy. The media will make sure of that!

So, think on before you try to kid yourselves, and others, that you are doing this for Michael.

ut Sony's Epic Records has guaranteed the album is authentic.

"We have complete confidence in the results of our extensive research as well as the accounts of those who were in the studio with Michael that the vocals on the new album are his own," Sony told ABC News.

A source close to the Jackson family told ABC News that two forensic companies have confirmed it is Jackson's voice on the album.

May I add something I just said at the other thread about the album?

I just would like to point one fact

TMZ is no one to be trusted and every time they tell lies, we fans know it in a second. Didn't they say last night they had heard the song and that it reminded you of "Billie Jean" and that it was great??

Well... more reasons to never trust TMZ.

Ive got two of the Cascio brothers facebook actually (not Eddie though) and I sent one of them a message this early morning 6am when the song was released. I basically said that fans know of their loving friendsship with MJ and appreciate that they have never sold him out, but this time, there are just too much confusion. Doubt he will answer me.

I dont know how Okay it is to link their personal facebook here? Sure, you all can find them I guess.. but dont know.
