All the greats have studied from the best, truly this boy has it, in 10 years time he will be saying what a huge influence michael was, just as michael spoke of his hero's

You mean you were such an MJ fan but had never learned the facts about the 1993 case before watching the musical?

So how many people would watch MJ the musical while not knowing anything about the allegations and then go on a research spree to find out about something that is not adressed in the musical? And also while not having watched Leaving Neverland before or followed the 2005 trial in the media or the endless of other books, docos, magazines covering the abuse allegations.

It feels like that not many people except you would tick those boxes!

This is your first post and you arrive just in time to advertise the hitpiece "Think Twice" which is some of the worst biased journalism ever.

Finally, when Leaving Neverland has already hit and Leaving Neverland 2 is currently in production to be released, do you really honestly believe the biopic will hurt Michaels legacy? Its been an onslaught of negative TV-shows since Leaving Neverland, why would people have missed all that but suddenly would discover it via the biopic?

And also, would it not be better if people did their own research rather that watching one-sided hit pieces like Leaving Neverland? Most people watching Leaving Neverland did not start doing research, they assumed what was presented was a fact!
Sadly, what we believe, deny, or confirm is not the issue. All of us have a special place in our hearts for MJ. Nobody can take from his talent and his musical legacy. He was a brilliant performer, and he is still beloved.

But when MJ took his last breath in 2009, we can assume he was unhappy about the character legacy he left here on Earth. Those children that he wanted to be here to raise did not have the chance to have their father. That is what most likely hurt him the most in the end. There is a reason that he is no longer here with us, and we do not have to agree about those circumstances.

I think, on some level, MJ was disappointed that the "public" acquitted him of those charges in 2005. It is most likely why he couldn't sleep at night and had to use powerful drugs to forget all of the things that he had done in the past. He wasn't found guilty, but it does not mean he was innocent of conducting inappropriate relationships. He couldn't live on stage, and ultimately, what he did off it destroyed some of his legacy. No matter how many threads and forums we create, suspicions won't ever be erased dating back to 1993.

But the biopic will be a success. Millions of fans around the world will see it. It will more than likely make more than the Bohemian Rhapsody movie.

He was terrific but "something evil was always lurking in the dark...."

Well, is this the Michael Jackson who under propofol when still awake or heavily drugged was still talking about building a massive childrens hospital an engaging in such activities? I mean not even under the substance was there anything incriminating coming from the man.

You dont think his chronic pain from the burns he suffered or chronic back pain he had since the bridge collapse performing Earth Song with drug addictions on pain killers since 25 years affected his sleep? You dont think the pressure of him performing concerts over his health and sleep even to the point where "milk" was used affected him?

If Michael Jackson as I presume from the evidence was innocent, you dont think being hunted for child molestation for 12+ years damaged his soul and causes stress to which we can not even consider? If innocent it would have been the most soul destroying ordeal probably any human has had to go through. We know MJ made a debut to adult working life at 5 years, it was nothing strange about him being burnt out in the end. Especially having to through vitiligo and lupus as already the most insecure man on earth, and have that happen in front of the whole world judging him.

What I am trying to say is: If Michael Jackson was guilty of anything he was being accused, that along with everything else would be reason for him to suffer from insomnia!

But, if Michael Jackson was innocent as I believe, there is probably even more reason for him to be hurt and stressed beyond what we can comprehend and likely even more natural to have problems sleeping! Not to mention the stress from pushing an old man with a broken back who had not performed live in almost 10 years to do 50 shows against his will, you dont think that can cause distress?

From all we heard the man still carried on being a loving father, being kind and respectful towards other people til his last breath despite his many mental and physical struggles.
Sadly, once an idea is put out into the world about something or someone, it can be near impossible to live down that image or quell the public's perception no matter how flawed or implausible their beliefs are. It is unfortunately all too easy to brand someone as something they are not and ruin a person's life just by saying "so and so did this or that", whether it's actually true or not. Sometimes I don't think a lot of people fully realize how frighteningly easy it is.

Imagine, if you will, someone publicly accuses you of something that is so vile, despicable, so contrary to your core values and inner beliefs. YOU know it's not true but once the public and the media put together a narrative, you can never escape it. People are wrongfully accused of theft, burglary, rape, sexual abuse and murder every single day. You may be acquitted in a court of law but you will never be acquitted by the court of public opinion. Once you put an idea into someone's mind, there will always be that lingering doubt of someone's innocence.

Let's face it. Michael was not perfect. He did make a lot of mistakes and he often let his naivety get the better of him. There were so many things he did to his own public image that opened the door for how he would later be portrayed in the media. There were certain incidents and situations that he should have learned from after the first accusations from a PR standpoint but instead he publicly doubled down on his eccentricities even further and naively put his trust into people who were only out to use and profit from him. His reclusiveness, his eccentric lifestyle and his own manipulation of his public image by sending outlandish stories about himself to the tabloid media only helped create the freakish "Whacko J*cko" narrative that he so vehemently detested. The media's portrayal of him as freak is exactly what made the accusations leveled against him throughout the years all too easy for the public to accept.

For all we know, this man´s life was X-RAYED during the trials and supposedly also by the FBI. NO evidence was found at all!

What are you insinuating?

I don‘t know, artistic liberty. They better not film I want you back with kid Michael doing hip thrusts 😛
It's most common for people to impersonate Michael in his adulthood and not his childhood, even for children. And that's all this kid is doing in these videos. Impersonating. That doesn't automatically mean he will dance like that when acting as Michael as a kid in the movie. I'm confident he will do it right

People, please keep the thread on topic. The poster was trolling. For some reason posts from new members are not going through moderation. I will check with Gaz

Unfortunately I do think we will see a few errors in the film.
It's a biopic, not a history lesson or documentary. Biopics, no matter who it's about, sometimes have made up parts or things for dramatic purposes. The Weird Al biopic is totally fictional, and Al was behind it. Weird Al even appears in it, playing a record label guy. It has Madonna as a drug lord. 🤣

Yup fully expecting it , Bohemian Rhapsody was not 100% accurate and neither will this be. It will have to fit into the story.
