I guess hip hop. There is a black dominated forum where they pretty often discuss how R&B became almost non-existent in the mainstream now. When in the 90s it ruled the charts. The R&B categories aren't even broadcast live any more at the Grammys.
 
^^Youre right. I was wondering why since it's a category that's always been important (to me).
I still don't consider hip hop music but I'm glad they have a category. R&B should still be there and live.

Young kids don't watch the Grammys.
 
Give me R&B any time over hip-hop. I find the whole thing pretty sad. R&B is a classic genre like rock, it should not be eradicted like this.

Yeah-can you believe this? I had been wondering why they were announcing the winners after the commercial breaks and not showing them.
Soul and blues and R&B are probably what got me watching the Grammys in the first place.
(Even tho I didn't realize it at the time).
 
So electronic is there but R&B isn't? Lord, that's sad.
 
I see electronic as a fad like disco, so they shouldn't give it time in lieu of R&B.
However, I was sure hip hop/rap was a fad. What do I know. :(
