Michael Jackson has now landed a new song on the Billboard Hot 100 in seven consecutive decades when 'Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town' reached #46 on the week of 2nd January, 2021! This means a span of 51 years on the charts which is more than his lifespan indicating that his music truly lives on forever!

Also, MJ is the only artist with a Billboard Top 40 hit across 5 decades (6 decades if we include the Jackson 5). When Thriller hits the top 40 this decade (last reached Top 40 in 2018), he will expand the record to 6 decades!
