the early Jackson 5 songs were designed for children's voices - even if the lyrics were sometimes more mature.. 'ben' should have been dropped after puberty. it didn't sound right at all on the 'triumph' tour.
I will say that 'never can say goodbye' sounded great on Motown 25. the rest of the medley did too, but that was the last time. the group should have disbanded right after..
Michael's late teen voice was basically the same, if not very similar, to his early 20's one (my fave I don't see what difference re-singing those songs would make. I do think that 'one day in your life', 'dancing machine', and 'farewell my summer love' could have continued to be performed though..
