HISTORICAL DATES
1974 – The Jackson Five perform there 1st of 3 concerts at Dakar, Senegal Demba Diop Stadium in Africa.
1979 - The Jacksons perform a concert in Amsterdam Netherlands on Destiny tour. They are also featured on the cover of Jet Magazine for a Special Report: The Jacksons 10 Years Later.
1984 - Michael receives an official letter from United States President Reagan wishing him a speedy recovery from the burns he received in the Pepsi add accident. The letter reads
"Dear Michael,
I am pleased to learn that you were not seriously hurt in your recent accident. I know from experience that these things can happen on the set - no matter how much caution is exercised.
All over America, millions of people look up to you as an example. Your deep faith in God and adherence to traditional values are an inspiration to all of us, especially young people searching for something real to believe in.
You've gained quite a number of fans along the road since 'I Want You Back', and Nancy and I are among them.
Keep up the good work, Michael.

1988 - Michael Jackson BAD Tour rehearsals continue at the Pensacola Civic Center in Florida.
1989 - Lavon A. Muhammad was sentenced to a maximum of 2 1/2 years in prison for violating a court order to stay away from Michael Jackson. She also lost her £100 million paternity suit. She had claimed that Jackson was the father of her twins. As he imposed the maximum allowable sentence, Van Nuys Municipal Court Judge Stephen E. O'Neil urged that Muhammad, who insisted that court officials call her Billie Jean Jackson--listen to lyrics from a song on Michael Jackson's latest album, "Bad." The song is titled "Leave Me Alone." O'Neil said. "The chorus says: 'So just leave me alone, girl. Just stop me dogging me, girl. . . .' You listen to the chorus of that song and you listen to those words."
2003 – Wiesner & Konitzer try to block the airing of Martin Bashir's documentary after obtaining the final transcript. Michael is featured on the cover of 'Play' Magazine, UK. A weekly TV and radio supplement from , The Times, with a story on the upcoming Bashir documentary.
2005 - "The Story Behind The Song - We Are The World" written by Michael Jackson and lionell Richie is released in the UK as a two-disc special 20th Anniversary edition DVD, including never before seen footage.
2010 - More than 80 artists gathered to record the remake of "We Are The World". The next day Janet Jackson recorded her version of Michael Jackson's part. The song was premiered at the opening of the Winter Olympics on February 12.
