Why was Michael so upset about Karen Faye?

Imagine if while you were trying to work there was a person being too clingy and interrupting you from doing your job, and even after you've asked said person to leave you be many times they still won't go away. I think anyone would lose their patience after a certain point lol.

I've seen multiple interviews with Karen, and even asked her a few questions on Twitter. It seems to me that she truly loved Michael, but she definitely has often-contradictory views regarding many subjects. For example, she has openly condemned just about every book written about Michael, whether it was an actual trash piece or not. She's revealed personal details that some suggest he would not approve of, and she also blasted the makers of the upcoming biopic, her attitude only changing on realizing the family approved of it. I also read that she had a jealous streak about the various women involved in Michael's private life, and apparently he fired her more than once. She did come back as an adviser though, for the This Is It rehearsals, and repeatedly said Michael was not healthy enough to perform the scheduled concerts.

I did read a little bit of a funny story though, about a prank she pulled on him shortly after they first started working together. I don't recall what precipitated this, but for some reason she flashed her underwear at him. He was so childlike in his mindset at the time, that he was very embarrassed and told her not to do it again.

Michael Jackson actually never fired Karen Faye.

It was written that Michael Jackson in 2005 (after the trial) fired her, but that was not true.

Jennifer Batten confirmed that in one of her interviews:

Question: "Was Karen let go after the [2005] trial, was she fired?"
Jennifer Batten: "No, no!"

Besides, Karen Faye was one of the very few persons in his life that he trusted so much, and their relationship has been described as a brother and sister relationship.

Michael Jackson's female fans often speak ill of Karen Faye, but that is simply because they are jealous of her long-time, close relationship with him.

Thanks for correcting me about the "firing" rumor, but the rest of my post seems pretty true, at least from what I read. I did see the interview she did though, shortly after he passed, where she was one of three people who dressed him for his funeral. That's probably one of the hardest things anyone could ever be asked to do, for someone they love.

Here's an ABC TV special made in 2010, called "Michael Jackson After Life". Many people were interviewed for it, Karen Faye among them.

You can try asking Karen on Twitter why he was upset in that clip, she often responds to fans.

What does all of this have to do with the clip posted?

She was let go during HIStory tour though, but she came back

Whereā€™s the rest of the clip? It seems edited to make her look bad.

People say itā€™s Titoā€™s voice talking over it so that may give someone here a hint at what the source for the clip is.

That's definitely Tito! šŸ’ÆšŸ’Æ I wonder myself where this is from. It seems to be something unreleased. Hopefully we get more clips (unedited) like this ending. I really wanted to see the rest of it

I think it was just a random interview Tito was doing in a studio and they played a tiny bit of this clip when he was speaking about Michael.

She was doing the same thing on the black or white short. Hell she irritated me!

Karen is just doing her job. Re-touching make-up as you go along is part of the deal and Michael knows this. That doesn't mean he wouldn't occasionally find it a bit irritating. For BOW he's probably working a 10 / 12 / 14 hour day. His make-up will need to be renewed and some people have more of a tendency to 'shininess' so their make-up needs to be touched up more frequently. On a film set the make-up artist might need to check the make-up between every take so it might be the same for a video. They are aiming for consistency. Plus she's got to manage Michael's vitiligo. I don't know if there was still some unevenness in his skin tone by the time he was filming WMCIG but, if so, they have to make sure they maintain consistency there, also.

This clip is weirdly edited, we're seeing a very small scene, probably out of context and Tito's voice over probably has nothing to do with the visuals, maybe he was just making a general point about the craziness of Michael's life, not talking about a professional make-up artist helping Michael to look good on camera.

But Karen is also doing a job. She's not being clingy, imo, she's trying to solve a problem. Michael isn't happy about something and she's trying to calm him down, trying to offer solutions.

and even after you've asked said person to leave you be many times they still won't go away.
Bc she has a job to do and Michael knows this. He's clearly feeling a bit tetchy. Karen worked with Michael for so long, I'm sure she's seen him in every kind of mood.

Letā€™s not forget that MJ was a human and experienced human emotions just like the rest of us.
He does seem to be irritated about something. He's not having a good day at the office, that's for sure.
