While the internet last night patiently waited on something new from Kanye West - which at the time of this article being published has still not surfaced - eight new songs instead arrived from Kendrick Lamar.
Previously unheard, the new music from TDE's rap juggernaut has been put together and released collectively in the form of an EP titled Bad Kid Chill City.
Where the songs have come from isn't exactly clear but it looks like Kendrick wasn't the only TDE artist to spring a leak as songs by SZA, ScHoolBoy Q and Isaiah Rashad have also surfaced.
As for Bad Kid Chill City, the songs contained on it feature guest appearances from SZA, Jay Rock, Isaiah Rashad, Ab-Soul, Busta Rhymes, and even Michael Jackson - although don't get too excited as it's a sample from a pre-Off the Wall MJ from "I'll Be There" and not an unreleased set of vocals like those that appeared on Drake's Scorpion album.
There's even an instrumental version of Kendrick's "Swimming Pools (Drank)" including his vocals on the hook.
