A documentary offering a unique perspective of Michael Jackson as a collector, father and a friend.
Overview
The purpose of this project is to compile our collection of never before seen footage into a documentary featuring videos, photographs, memorabilia and interviews from Michael’s close friends. This project is important to us--and so many other fans--because it will offer the public a fresh perspective on Michael’s complex life outside of his musical career.
Who We Are
Gotta Have Rock and Roll is an auction house and media company devoted to rock and roll and pop culture. Over 20 years in business, we have acquired one of the largest collections of Michael Jackson home video tapes and photographs that have never been released to the public. Until now.
Our goal is to chronicle Michael Jackson as a father, a friend and a collector, offering a unique glance into his private life. This project is important to us--and so many other fans--because it will offer the public a fresh perspective on Michael’s complex life outside of his musical career.
With your help, we hope to hire the proper team to shoot and edit this production. Your contributions will allow us to present a polished documentary worthy of the rare footage we have collected.
If successful, we hope to create a series of episodes debuting the life of other artists such as Elvis Presley, The Beatles, 2Pac, Bruce Springsteen and many more!
What We Need
Our mission is quality. We are looking to raise $50,000 for the following purposes:
Equipment Rental - We’ve decided to rent some of the best video, lighting, and sound equipment available on the market.
Crew - We will hire a team that has worked on award-winning documentary films through our contacts in the industry.
Editing - We will hire an experienced editing team to ensure a sharp aesthetic and convey a clear narrative.
Music & Score - We will hire our friend and veteran in scoring Hollywood productions.
Visual Effects and Graphics - We will hire graphic designers and VFX artists to create graphics that will enhance the power of the story.
Licensing - We will look into buying the rights to various original soundtracks and exclusive images necessary for the production.
