Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

POTENTIAL BOMBSHELL

Spanish producer/documentarian Marcos Cabotá claims to have seen a contract between Robson/Safechuck and Amos Pictures LTD (a British enterprise and one of the co-producers of Leaving Neverland) that guarantees the former parties a percentage of whatever money the film makes. Cabotá explains further:

Cabotá was one of the first people to see Leaving Neverland after its Sundance premiere, and later participated in a roundtable with The MJ Cast in which he condemned the film as emotionally manipulating and poorly acted.

Profit-sharing agreements in film are almost always made before production/filming begins. This means that Robson and Safechuck knew no later than February 2017 that they stood to make money off this project.

And yet, just this morning in a CBS interview, Dan Reed yet again claimed that neither of them were offered any money for their participation.

Even on the off-chance the profit-sharing clause was added to their contract after filming had begun/finished, it's still a noteworthy omission from their press run. Or perhaps Reed expected someone to do some digging and has been carefully stating that they were never offered money, just in case he had to save face.

The lies keep on rolling in.

OMG! I cannot believe people are still ****ing blind and they believe all the bullshit.

Stay classy wade...

Dan Reed stepping upp the promotion for LN:

Dan Reed on BBC 26/2: Safechuck claims one night in Chicago after “seducing a 10 year old little boy...his first sexual experience” Michael Jackson “cruelly...goes to bed with another little boy” and Safechuck is left “on the sofa, discarded...crying for his Mum”

----
So Dan Reed has started to tell "sexuell anecdotes" about Michael which are NOT in the movie itself.. Reed is just telling some horrifying child abuse stories to spice things up....more to come?

The recording of the Jam video was in chicago (Michael Jordan). Brett Barnes was in the video were 10 years old at the time. In LN they insinuating that Brett Barnes became Safechucks replacement as Michaels loves, so maybe Reed is spinning that theory in this hallucinatory scenario?

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Safechucks story is literally insane. MJ tells him it's his first sexual experience, he gives him porn, alcohol, marries him, shows him child porn, tries to rape him, makes a sex tape with him, coaches him to hate women, and abuses other boys in front of him. And the media swallows it up without questioning it....

I think that anyone with a healthy sexuality hasn't these thoughts, not even in the back of their mind.
These people who are slandering Michael are talking about themselves.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I saw the interview with brandi. She is veeeery symphatic.
I think it whould be good when someone make a video edit out of it with the important parts.
Why we have only three of the YouTuber here active who making MJ vidos?

We need to verify what that Spanish producer says before we start posting it as a fact elsewhere. It’s not clear to me if in his quote he/she is just talking in general terms rather than specifically about the payment arrangements of this documentary

Of course. I think that stuff about him seeing the contract is weird. He should have documented it. But I assume IF he really saw the contract, the person who made him see would not want that to be exposed.

I hate this so much.

me too

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Caught a glimpse of the ad for it in an ad break on channel 4 last night. 1st time I've seen it advertised, and I watch channel 4 every day. didn't see all the ad though, only like 3 or 4 seconds, and the sound was off so nothing really for me to describe.

Do we know if it’s definitely Wade that gave Julien’s Lisa’s letter? Or could it have come from someone else?
If it came front wade, it’s slam dunk proof he’s a thief.

Wasn't Safechuck around Lisa Marie and MJ at the 'History teaser' location? (umbrella holder).

Was the letter dated? Do we know when it was written? Was Wade around MJ at that time?

Has anyone asked Juliens if Safechuck consigned any MJ items to them? (He may have consigned items via Wade, as Wade was better known as having MJ connections). Safechuck definitely says (in his 'complaint' papers) that he has 'several' items from MJ. I guess he hasn't burned them?

How do we know that any items (aside from MJ-signed-and-personally -dedicated items) were given to these two, rather than stolen?

This ^ really needs the 'MJ eating popcorn' gif!

Message n°1000 to the Estate and the Jackson family : it's time or not to put end to the allegations. If you keep the silence, in 2029 we will have new accusers.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I don't think this can be stressed enough. People love to point out when someone is harassed on Twitter and paint that person in a sympathetic light. It's going to make things worse if fans keep messaging him. To any fans who read this, please don't do it.

Had no idea AT&T owned HBO... I feel sick having a cell phone under their service. And yet it's probably my cheapest option right now (family plan with my folks; I pay a fraction of it).

I would definitely say people have woken up to Oprah being full of shit over the years. I recently saw people calling her out for allowing Jenny McCarthy to spew anti-vaccination crap on her show, unchallenged, in the past. Hopefully they can wake up to other things about her, and Michael too.

I think Pellicano was the one who said that Michael "did something worse than molestation", hence why some may be reluctant to bring him into anything. But at this rate I think we need all the help we can get.

Also, does anyone find the order of interviews on that CBS show very... "convenient"? They had Reed on first (today), Michael's brothers and Taj tomorrow (which sadly may not be a strong line of defense, except for Taj), and then R&S go on last and therefore have the last word/could potentially counter whatever the Jacksons say. Why not interview Mesereau or Vogel or Thomson instead? Is this deliberate?

Yeah I read that last week too while I was spending a good time reading on Vindicatemj.wordpress.com. It clearly has nothing to do with anything that implies abuse, because he said he would go after him if he ever found something like that, something along those lines. But wtf is worse than molesting a child? What the site itself speculated it could be sounded very farfetched to me personally.

But again, had it really been anything incriminating, he would have gone to the authorities with it.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

There is now a dude spreading on YouTube that the FBI did no "Federal" investigation on MJ, means they didn't tape his phone conversation and didn't follow him.
He using this link as proof:
https://www.fbi.gov/audio-repository/news-podcasts-thisweek-michael-jackson-files.mp3/view
With the quote "... while the FBI didn't investigate Jackson, the file now availible show the FBI working with other agencies"

A well known hater already piked up this information and want use it. Claiming that that the FBI didn't investigate MJ it was regular police.

Did someone read the fbi files and can say that is untrue that they didn't tape his phone conversations or followed him?

I mean the first thing I whould do is taping his phone conversations.

No, 2023, it comes in 10 year cycles to make sure the public can't forget, 93, 03, 2013

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

The worst thing is when you tell people this is a conspiracy with many of the higher ups working together - Oprah, Geffen, Weinstein, HBO, Channel 4 etc etc you sound delusional and a crazy fan.

Of course, it's painfully easy to tear each allegation to shreds in seconds but it's still frustrating that people don't see this for the true witch hunt it is.

This made me laugh. The whole thing is so transparent and absurd!

Oprah, Gayle and Geffen are up to their necks in this

It's a real bad look right now because Oprah still is quite big and relevant in the USA isn't she? To think she had Lisa Marie's last interview about Michael with her. That was a good interview too and you would think that Oprah would know better. She was around when the trial happened, she saw the media scrutiny and she saw how he was fully acquitted.

Even after seeing LN she could have done some short research, doesn't take long. But I guess that was very naive of me to believe she would remain objective about this. I didn't follow Oprah at all between 2003 and 2005,but did she remain objective at all then or was she already acting like the snake she is?

Unless they cover this absolutely ridiculous crap in the "documentary" and for all we know they do, is he now actually just making up lies as he goes along on these shows?

I swear, the wrong person was taken in 2009.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I wish some fans would stop calling Michael an angel when they defend him, because it doesn't make the fan base look good, and it will only make people dismiss the fans as crazy and deluded.
