I'm still a little shocked at the title Wendy gave me. 🤣I never thought of myself that way, but it's interesting. And I love words. They have an impressive power. I think I could be a pretty good wordsmith in my native tongue, but here it's a little difficult. But who knows what will happen next.....
*Michael Jackson's look at the end of the thriller.

I've looked at this a few times.
opps sorry it sounded well in my head
No, I meant I've looked at Lackadaisy! Not properly. I looked at a few pages here and there. I was just browsing, this was a year or so ago. This whole 'comics online' thing intrigued me bc I used to be into comics and then dumped them bc they take up way too much space. I had about 3, 000, maybe slightly more, and I loved them but, omg, the space they needed. I just got fed-up so I flogged the whole lot. I should have kept my Frank Miller DareDevils. That was a mistake. But I'm fine with having got rid of the rest. Too many comics, too many books!

Mixed feelings about comics online. I can see the immediate benefit but also I'm really old-school and like stuff to be tangible. I don't do music digitally, for example. Anyway, Lackadaisy is good, the little bits I looked at. I'm not mad keen on computer art and this does look like it's been done digitally, not with real pencils and stuff. But, on-screen, it works so I don't mind so much.

There's a lot of characters in it and I didn't come across all of them. Looks like a good piece of work, though. If that was a real comic (i.e. made of paper) and I was still doing the comics thing I can tell this is one I'd be buying. I like the Smooth Criminal vibe.

oh no, I'm not keeping up! I don't check every post in this thread. For one, it often goes too fast for me, but mostly the guys and wendi are not speaking my language so I leave them to it, lol. Generally I just post stuff randomly, I'm not usually trying to follow the madness, iyswim! :D

What title did wendi give you? I'm intrigued.

EDIT - I think I just found it.

I will name you all of them (ofc if you only want me too)
No, that's fine. I remember seeing the page where they were all listed. I hadn't picked up that there were so many bc I only looked at a few pages so I only saw a little bit of the story. I think I was trying to pick one character to identify with, iirc. :D

I do remember I really liked the layout of that particular page.

Can I tell you my fav character?

I like it online because 1) you can get it for free (sometimes) 2) you know you won’t rip the pages and 3) it’s a bit more convenient (well for me, at least))
These are all good points. Looking after paper comics was a headache, ngl. Special plastic bags - acid free. Special boxes - those boxes got on my nerves. They took up SO much space. And they were awkward to move around. Gah!

Plus the expense. I didn't mind bc I loved my comics but it was a LOT of money. I was only buying 12 - 15 per month. It wasn't loads. But it did add up!

I'm intrigued by some comics being available for free. Yay! I need to go and have another look at all of this. I'm easily distracted plus I do really dislike reading stuff online. I mean, I REALLY dislike it. But, y'know, comics! I do love 'em. My only question is how the page layouts work. The Lackadaisy pages I looked at all had a very conventional layout which is perfectly fine, of course. But in a paper comic they were doing much more creative page layouts and I can't see how that would work if you're having to scroll down a screen. Also, artwork that takes up a whole page - not sure I understand how that would work. 🤔

Definitely need to go back and look at all of this. Properly this time!
