This is where an album edit or a radio version would come in handy.

For me, I'm gonna say the E.T. duet in Someone in the Dark is totally unnecessary, at least for the MJ compilation versions. They should edit that one soon.

The intro on You Rock My World with Chris Tucker. Love Chris, but I could do without that comedic banter between them. Or as a separate track as an interlude or skit. But it might be weird having an album with one interlude.

Earthsong, there is 1 too many ahhh oooohh sections

I don't like the lyrics "I'll be workin' from nine to five to buy you things to keep you by my side" 🫠

This, too...I - in general - love the intro but when you want to listen to a song more that once, things like these are... not pleasant :)

What song is this again?

Perfect candidate for the album edit then. The Single did it right separating them.

Black or White - single mix
YRMW - non intro version
TGIM - "new edited version" (w/o talking rap)
WYBT - Free Willy OST version

Superfly Sister - solo guitar part in the bridge, it sounds awful

Little Susie/Will You Be There - too long intro, the main reason why these songs can't be catchy

The Lost Children - outro, it's too long, but I can live with that

Thriller - laugh in the end, it's cringe, that ruins all vibe

Privacy - solo gutar part bridge, very very awful

Honestly any long or spoken intro in any of his songs, they just never did it for me especially when the song is already long enough. Will You Be There already has a 2 minute outro, why the 2 minute intro too😭

You need the 3 track single cd of YRMW.
I ripped this single to my iTunes collection & switched out the usual album version of YRMW on INVINCIBLE with the two separated tracks from this single. It’s the very same, just split into two tracks.
(I see it’s also on some of the 5 track - maxi singles)

To Know by the J5, incredible song except for this random frog sounding voice croaking things near the beginning. Thankfully it stops early on.

I had a version I made on Spotify using the radio edit from Number Ones. But I’ll put the cd single on my list, thanks. 👍

For a compilation version maybe, but actually it used to piss me off that E.T. ddn't have more lines, MJ together with E.T. was the greatest thing imaginable at the time for me

If they had only kept the 'watch!' from the skit it would be a pretty cool start of the song imo

I never liked the starting car at the beginning of 'She Drives Me Wild'; it's a bit too much.. Same for the monkies in the intro of the 'Monkey Business' demo.. although I love the songs themselves..

The other way around: I always liked the spoken word intro of 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You'; couldn't believe it was deleted on later versions..

I've made my own version using the no intro version and replacing its first 15 or 20 seconds with the instrumental version; that way I got rid of Rodney's annoying "Darkchild, I like that" line.🙂

Brilliant! I can’t keep up with you whizz kids. What do you call this version, Fuzball’s Pure Mix?

My favourite version of the Bad album is the original 87 mix. I felt they missed a trick by not including it as part of Bad25.

I guess, the can't use them anymore bc of the use of "Holophonics" in og album mixes.

when typing my earlier comment I thought of mentioning IJCSLY 1987 actually but I found issues with way more intros overall lmao.
my preferred way of listening to Bad is the original mixes as I own the 1987 CD, but that intro is personally too ASMR-y for my liking, so I'm alright with it being removed later on.

Is this true? Surely a contract would have been signed to say that the released product is the intellectual property of Michael Jackson/Epic?
