"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

These figures are public led, they prove the world is hungry for MJ content and don't care about media narratives. It would be wiser for the media to recognise that if they want to cash in. I would even argue the world has always been hungry for MJ content, hence the sellout shows in 2009 after the worst period of his life.

Maybe I am being naively optimistic, but rewatching the teaser makes me emotional. I feel we finally have a chance to have MJ recognised in a worthy manner with this movie, we just need the movie to deliver on the teaser, and the teaser is so well done that I remain hopeful of it capturing the highs and lows equally well from this time period.

I always said that the perfect song for the Biopic would be "Dream Away" , but since the movie is going to be uplifting and revolve around the super star effect Mike had, I guess the better option is indeed "Hot Street".
I say both. Dream Away would make an amazing track to play during the credits. I absolutely love this song and it deserves to be heard.

( teaser):

Universal pictures brazil ( 3M)
Universal pictures uk ( 2,5M)
lionsgate movies ( 8M) in 72 HRS.
Its nuts. Here's more:

Universal Pictures México: 3,6M
IGN: 2,4M
Universal pictures: 1,6M
Universal Spain: 1,3M
Universal Pictures Korea: 1,3M
Universal Pictures Germany: 1,2M
Universal Pictures Panamá y Centroamérica: 1M

And this is just Youtube

It's probably a coincidence, but has anyone else noticed that the release date of the Michael film, April 24th, is the exact same date that Michael Jackson's Private Home Movies premiered in 2003?
oh ha ha. hopefully it will mean it'll be good for us fans lol : D

I'm wondering how they will handle the soundtrack/s of the films. If there are two movies surely they will release two soundtracks right? Otherwise there would just be far too much music to include on one individual soundtrack/album.

Yes it's very common for 2 soundtracks to be released for films, but I find it very strange that no composer has been announced. I know John Ottman was involved with the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack (only 1 release), but I can't remember if there was any traditional score in the film itself.

Back to Black had 2 soundtrack releases, for example.

I think the biopic will be well received by the general advance, not just us fans

if so, that might be a popularity boost in Michael's music and if that does happen, then it'll be a real life rarity because a resurgence of an artist after 16 years of their death is not commonly found ! 😃 fingers crossed y'all ! 🤞

Regarding Will.I.Am, when I read what "I'm Dreamin" is supposed to sound like, all I can think of is this track. And this track gives MJ vibes.
