The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

"Shut Up And Dance" goes so hard at the end, didn't expect there to be anything new to this leak that we haven't already heard but those harmonies caught me by surprise, they sound so good. I hope Michael kept that in the 2008 version.

Edited Writer's Demo or most recent version?
This is the 2008 version but I believe it might've been slightly edited, that ending sounds really out of place and it happens out of nowhere. Sounds weird lol. Interesting to hear this uses a different vocal take from the version intended for "Invincible".

I'm curious about how this got leaked, the description is saying that this version of the song came from a video by Jerry Greenberg, does anyone know what that video was about and if it was posted somewhere? Were there more songs that were played?

It's a mess unfortunately. It took the wrong direction in terms of instrumentation. Maybe it's the quality of the file the problem. IMO it needed more guitar riffs and a fresh electronic bassline

There are a couple lines in here (“going out to get our groove on,” the ad-lib at 1:18) that sound EXACTLY like MJ, which makes me believe this is at least partially AI. Plus, the ad-lib at 1:06 is definitely sampled.

And also I gotta say it's really funny how these leakers are coming out of woodwork and leaking stuff to spite this Bell Beefer guy lol, reading his YT posts and never have I seen a leaker act bratty and so attention seeking to this level, it's actually a new low. It's depressing these are the people in hold of MJ's unreleased material but at the same time they're the reason we even get to hear new stuff to begin with. I predict each one of the songs he's teased ("Boy No", "I Love You More", "Broken Chair", etc.) will end up surfacing online within a month.

Everything will leak in the end but most of them are bored af, like Adore You and Water is just a loop. Among the songs expected to leak, only Rocker is exciting (Because the song is "almost" finished.) I don’t want to call the others trash, but they are.

Is it confirmed that SUAD was started during Invincible?

The new leak has obviously been tampered with.

Laurieann Gibson (PRNewsfoto/769 Entertainment), Shut Up and Dance, tribute to Michael Jackson

Shut Up and Dance, a great dance track by the King of Pop that was left unfinished, will come to life in a tribute by his former choreographer Laurieann Gibson, creative director for some of the biggest American pop stars, including Lady Gaga.

769 Entertainment, the new performing arts company based in Seoul, recently announced that it will be producing an unreleased Michael Jackson song. We are talking about Shut Up and Dance, a major dance track that Jackson and his longtime friend and collaborator Brad Buxer worked on together with Michael Prince and Eric Kirkland, which unfortunately remained unfinished, with some vocal parts never completed.

Now, however, that song will be revived in a tribute by his former choreographer Laurieann Gibson, dancer and creative director for some of the biggest American pop stars, including Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige, Notorious B.I.G., Alicia Keys, and Beyoncé.

The tribute will be only the first in a series of initiatives dedicated to the King of Pop – the Michael Jackson Project – to which Gibson will continue to contribute thanks to a partnership established between her and the President of 769 Entertainment, Jerry L. Greenberg, aimed at “launching a movement that goes beyond the boundaries of race, society, politics, and economics through dance, and helping to create peace and solidarity.”

There are several sources saying that, between 2017 and 2018, Greenberg was planning to launch a series of tributes, with Shut Up and Dance intended as the first single. Later articles from late 2019 claimed that Jason Derulo had finalized the track, renaming it Let's Shut Up and Dance, and there were even mentions of Justin Bieber being involved.

In the end, though, nothing ever came of it. Im too tired to dig up the whole story right now, but here are a few sources:
