This number is very impressive because the movie is not out yet and he already surpassed 64 000 000 monthly listeners. This shows that his impact on entertainment hasn't waned since his death. Imagine the numbers after the biopic release ?!

2bad Sony didn't separate the 2 HIStory discs After the end of the promotion circa 2000 ( there was still some tv ads in Europe for Sony best-ofs) , and at least doing It late 2001 when the first 4 albums were released
Even the 1st disc was re-released as GHV1 at the time, so It would have made perfect sense.

Further compilations (#1s, Essentiel, TUC, KOP) never did justice to HIstory singles ( Scream was always ignored) .So that's a shame they never did that. I think catalogue sales would have been even higher than those of Dangerous, just for the collectors fans.
Earth Song and TDCAU were mainly ignored in the USA at the time, but got some récognition there after 2009.
