The name used to be a brand of coolness to me. But I recently checked out the lists of best ofs in music (singer, songwriter, guitar...) on Wikipedia, which are done by them. Ridiculously biased towards white old men!
So I'm totally not surprised.
If they don't hear the bells soon and miss the global shift towards more diverse musicians (and music Latin, Korean, Nigerian, you name it) and recognize them properly, they will soon be forgotten.

As a ‘stats’ person this interest me in different levels. Not least because it relates to MJ.

At this juncture (*rounded up/down by nearest % point);

84% - Rate the film 6 or more
59% - 7 or more
36% - 8 or more

As ‘stats people’ we look for anomalies. These, whilst they may be ‘genuine’, do not fit the normal pattern, and can skew (negatively or positively) the true picture.

These anomalies here, appear to be;

1 vote for 4

Nearly all stats adjust for these type of things. If we do that, as I feel comfortable doing;

Average MEAN score = 7.02 (instead of 6.87)

I would say “pretty good” for a film that was panned by critics, and some ‘fans’, even before they saw it. 😉

Are you ready to accept that the 1993 allegations settlement was the reasons for the re-shoots and that the Chandler case therefore can not be included in part 2 either when both Lionsgates CEO and your main source Matt Belloni now confirms it at 15:10 in that interview?

I am not going to throw you under the bus or anything, but since you have been denying this for a couple of years latest a few days ago even though Fuqua also confirmed it. Are you finally able to come to terms that whats been reported the entire time that you claimed was incorrect in fact was correct from the start years ago? Can we finally put this to rest? :)

You need to say something slightly negative about MJ for her to post. This is actual of footage of Kelley getting a notification of a post containing something that flirts with the notion that it could be a critique of MJ

Question, for movie buffs/experts;

I don’t really follow movies, per se
I’m more of music charts/stats.

From my limited knowledge, and from the negativity on here prior to its release, I had the following numbers for MICHAEL in my head;

Final Worldwide Total

Normal expectations $250,000,000
Above average. $350,000,000
Done Very Well. $450,000,000
Blow my mind. $600,000,000+

So, finally, my question for people who follow movies;

From where we are, was I too conservative/positive, or are we on course to do my original “Blow my mind” figures.

I would be pleased to here various predictions 👍

Would anyone of you like a part 2 without accusations? I am not sure if it makes sense, as it influenced Michael a lot after 1993.

Is there no way to include that topic into the film without breaking a contract? Maybe using a different name i stead of chandler?
 
I see a lot of people want part 2 to be called Jackson but I don't really understand why.

(I can't think of a better name either LOL)

For a movie with the initial budget 135 mln (without marketing) your figures should be:

Normal expectations $400,000,000
Above average. $500,000,000
Done Very Well. $600,000,000
Blow my mind. $800,000,000+

The movie must do 2.5x - 3x to cover the budget. But the only biopic that got more than 300 mln is Bohemian Rhapsody. But it's Michael Jackson! But "what about the allegations"? But "only the fans go to movie theater". That's why it's very difficult to predict the numbers in this (and almost any) case.
