I interviewed ZAPP about Michael Jackson/Roger Troutman Song "TomBoy"

The biggest indication that Stop That would be Tomboy is the "Hee hee" in the song that kinda sounds like Michael. And didn't someone (maybe Matt Forger?) say that Tomboy was later released my Roger Troutman? But yeah it could easily be someone else doing the "Hee hee", there are also other Zapp songs with similar ad-libs.

So I saw there was a bunch of speculation about the song tomboy and how Zapp's song "Stop That" was actually the instrumental to TomBoy so I asked them. Although I think they didn't quite understand my question lmao I got some type of insight on it. The discussion begins at 26:50
Thank you for asking this.

So for more clarity, Matt Forger said that MJ gave Roger the *multitracks* to Tomboy and Roger later used them.

Multitracks don't necessarily mean a full instrumental of the song. It could just be certain aspects of the song.

So maybe this is where some confusion is from... But these guys really have no idea.

In the album cover for the Zapp album that features Stop That, MJ is thanked.
