The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Estate will want to throw the stuff from Ultimate Collection onto a second disc instead of including actual unheard material in the future, so it makes sense it isn't available.
That one exclusive iTunes collection called "The Ultimate Fan Extras Collection" is pretty perfect, it includes pretty much everything

too bad it's only available on iTunes lol

It was similar to Bad 25, some outtakes, demos and remixes incl features iirc
Now I'm intrigued. Assuming they're still not trying to clear things with Quincy's estate and the ship has sailed (for now), were these pre-production outtakes (Little Susie '79, Sunset Driver home demo, Goin' To Rio) or actual outtakes from the main Allen Zentz sessions?

Pre-production outtakes done at Hayvenhurst

iirc the original demo had synth drums and not real ones. The drums heard in the 2021 version are the ones that replaced the synth ones in the original finished version of the song from 1983-85. Its also possible that it was further worked on for Bad, but it isn't confirmed. The 2021 version is basically the original 1983 one with different mixing and added horns iirc
I think you are right. The OG will not be THAT much of a difference from what we got. I think Porcaro played with the structure a little bit (i. e. placing the "Chicago, Chicago.." - chanting, also nothing major). Switched out synth instruments for real ones. But other than that we got

I don’t remember much about that project but from what I remember it was maybe 3-4 outtakes, 3 demos and remixes/features

MJ & Bruce have briefly worked on it in 1986. The Estate also mentions C45 as a song from the Bad recording sessions in the Xscape booklet.

I am also secretely hoping for a more fleshed out 'Thriller era' version of Behind The Mask, perhaps even with Quincy..? I mean Q liked the YMO original right..?

A man can wish..

I'd honestly take a mix of Greg's instrumental with the most complete/put together lead vocal take from MJ.

Yes that would be awesome, I liked that fanmade mash-up too!
But tbh Greg's version already sounds more mid 80's with that driving beat, I'm sneakily hoping for a funky/electro/soul sound like 'Thriller'

I seriously hope this is real, because this may very well be one of my new favourite Loren bangers.
It might as well be, it reminds me a lot of another Loren outtake "Work", or more infamously known here as "The Veredict"
