Did MJ's vitiligo start getting worse during Victory Tour?

I'm pretty sure there's a pic in the Jacksons Live booklet that has the early signs on his neck or arms, I can't remember.

My friend had alopecia and it completely ruined her confidence and cheeky personality - I'd imagine this would be ten times worse, as your hair can often grow back.
Yeah, he did all he could to hide the vitiligo and it does seem it was going on before Thriller.

If you see all the photos (and the Say Say Say video) made with Paul McCartney, you will see that he tried to use black make-up to hide the spots first. So that means he didn't lie about the period it started (somewhere around OTW and Thriller) and that he didn't want to become white.

He used cream later on but denied it on Oprah to differentiate between stuff for esthetical purposes and stuff for medical purposes; to make it clear he didn't want to bleach his skin, even if that ultimately was the case, technically

Michael said that he didn't want the spots to distract from his performance, and I think that fear was legit: even a few tiny white spots are very distracting on black skin
