eh, happens all the time with movies now. its a given when its an exclusive of sorts
marvel deals with it with each release, and i think recently christopher nolan's the oddysey had this exact situation and its still being pretty hyped up
id say it actually gives the movie a bit more attention which would be a good thing

I think a short teaser on Friday for Thriller could really go crazy, especially if it was edited in a dramatic way. Then, in a few weeks we get an expanded teaser etc.

I find it odd that the movie is still not listed on Universal's upcoming movies page. They even have their 2027 films listed but no mention of Michael.

Lionsgate are producing it and doing USA distribution. I thought Universal was handling the international distribution.

That said, I've been out of the loop for so long on this thing (bc no official announcements) so I could be wrong.

While I would very much like the background of the accusations to be presented authentically, perhaps it would suffice to use the rumors in the media to show what a misunderstood person he was. Viewers who think critically could then draw a connection to the accusations.

Great idea, I guess it could be one way to get around the legal issue with the allegations without addressing it?

They could show the impact that it had on Michael and the trauma he suffered as a result of it. Mix the timeline slightly and end it on a high with the superbowl 93.
