The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Janet and Randy were working on an album in 1977 that became Randy's solo project, hence the How Can I Be Sure release. It was to be released some time after 79 but Randy's accident stalled it.

All eyes on Michael but in the meantime they made a 'Love Song For Kids'

On the subject of Randy, is there any info about a song called "You Told Me You're Lovin'" ? Seems to be from around 1979 and originally written by Michael but then later given to Randy (or later co-written by Randy). Was it considered for Triumph?

I don't understand it when people on here ask for info about songs that no one outside the estate has heard. Why would anyone here know?

Wait it’s a confirmed fake? I feel retarded now for being so out of the loop regarding that song lol.
The title was floating on the internet when Michael was with us but it wasn't until he passed that the people I mentioned confirmed they never heard of it during their sessions with him.

Could've been re-written for Randy's solo album as his version was registered at the end of 79

I'd say it's written for OTW & probably re-written for by Randy for his solo project.

Randy has closely worked with Michael on his solo 70s/early 80s demos; so he'd be good source for learning more about those sessions. If only someone would interview him.
He's a bit closed off and will usually beat around the questions to avoid answering directly but I'd love if someone actually interviewed him

It was made up by a redditor that was larping that he worked on History lol he also said Tabloid Junkie originated from a Bad era demo
i know who that user was, they were in our mj group at the time. the song title didnt originate with them though. all that info was pulled from old mj forums

Randy's the most prolific Jackson sibling aside from Michael. Such a shame he had bad luck with his solo career.
I like to think if you mixed Jackie's voice with Randy's writing you'd have had a great act right there. Jackie's first solo album is great.
