At 1:40 - The song Jaafar auditioned to Graham King was “Peter Pan” (or maybe “Make a Wish”?), the same lullaby type song Spielberg would play to his kids

Jaafar must've been referring to this clip since he's saying MJ didn't sing it officially, and it does come from an unauthorized interview

Yeah probably, I’ve always thought Michael would’ve recorded it though if it was for the Spielberg project. I assumed Jaafar would’ve heard a recorded version, but maybe he just copied from the interview

I like Ne Yo, the most Michael Jackson sounding song he's done is What Have I Done, in my opinion. I could hear Mike all over this and killing those background harmonies
one of ne-yo's very next albums after this one has a song called "Coco Butter" and i couldnt ever stop thinking of that title from MJ's song list when listening lol

Make A Wish is vocally complete and was played to his kids. I don’t think we know if “I’m Peter Pan” and “Happy Song” were vocally completed

It's likely the same song but I don't think Ne-Yo's style was complimentary to Michael at the time
