Hello MJJC Family,
Here we have another article that needs addressing, but not from perspective of what they are trying to accomplish. We need to address the negative responses in response to the initiative. Here is the article and some important points on how to respond:

· That page works on scoring -- thumbs up for comments you like and thumbs down for comments you don't like.
· As well as commenting there, can you also thumb up pro-MJ comments and thumb down anti or abusive ones
Summation of article:
The article is about a new high school in North Carolina. The school board is allowing the community to suggest names for the new school, and so far over 2,000 entries have been submitted. Many celebrities have been submitted, including Michael Jackson. The author (Amanda Memrick) used the following misleading headline to generate more hits for her article: “Michael Jackson Memorial High for new high school in Cremerton?”
That headline falsely suggests that MJ’s name is under serious consideration for the name of the new school, which couldn’t be further from the truth. MJ has no ties to North Carolina, and I don’t think he ever even performed in North Carolina! (Unlike the Gardner St. Elementary School, which MJ attended as a child.) Somehow MJ's name was suggested and this idiot journalist exploited it to get more hits. As a result, most of the comments have been very negative, with most laughing at the suggestion that a new high school would be named after a “child molester”.
Please comment politely and credibly with well-spaced, non-fan named and effective comments; both refuting the allegations with facts, but not necessarily to push or justify MJ’s name being used to name the school. It is an obvious falsehood that MJ’s name is under serious consideration for this school and this is just a nasty piece exploiting his name for cheap laughs.
