Back in November of 2001, Michael came to New York City to do an album signing for Invincible at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square, and also make a brief appearance on MTV's TRL. Since MJ had never done an album signing before, and NYC was also still recovering from the 9/11 attacks, this was a BIG deal. Many fans camped out in Times Square for DAYS just to get a glimpse of Mike.

One lucky New Yorker recorded more than 40 minutes of footage over 3 days to document this rare event, then uploaded it on Youtube 20 years later. Two of his friends were able to get signed CD's, and he was able to talk to the 1st person in line at the start of her 3-day camp-out, and again immediately after she met Michael. He even got some good footage of when MJ waved to the crowd, which got so huge that it stopped traffic in the heart of Manhattan.

I just stumbled on this amazing Youtube video recently. The footage from 2001 starts at 5:44.
