I just sent my opinion to the blog. I was so angered by what I read from those other posters, I had to tell them something. In fact here is my post:
"Reading the comments from people on here blaming Michael Jackson for his own death and making excuses for that 'doctor' just shows how willfully ignorant, ill-informed and self-righteous people can be. Not to mention the blind resentment many have towards people that are rich and famous. Automatically, just because Jackson was a celebrity, he 'asked for it', he 'begged' to get LETHALLY INJECTED by Conrad Murray, he 'got what he deserved'.
Get off your soapboxes and purge the "Michael Jackson was a junkie" crap from your brain and let reasonableness, common sense and dare I say, even a bit of empathy for Michael Jackson's situation--I know for alot of you that's like pulling teeth, since you've been conditioned that Jackson was a subhuman who doesn't deserve anything but criticism, ridicule and judgement.
What doctor in his right mind is going to inject all of these breath-suppressant drugs in someone within a VERY short span of time and then top it off with Propofal? Conrad Murray claimed he gave Michael 25l of Propofal; but that amount isn't enough to put anyone out past just a few minutes. Also, Murray claimed around the 10 o'clock hour, Michael 'demanded' propofal. Well this is absurd, not to mention a bold-faced lie based on 2 things: First, Jackson's chef, Kai Chase, said that Jackson would be eating breakfast around that time,(between 9:30 and 10:00) and Dr. Murray would come down to the kitchen and bring the breakfast up to Michael's room. On June 25th,(day of Michael's death) she noticed that routine was broken. What was going on that particular day to make Michael's REGULAR DAILY routine to be broken? and Secondly, Jackson was due to attend rehearsal that day at 2:00 and before he left for rehearsal, he would eat lunch with his children at noon--which was also part of his daily routine. Now why on June 25th, did Michael (according to Dr. Murray) demanded propofal to get put out KNOWING full well he had to get ready to prepare for a full day? The people at the rehearsals said Jackson said he would be with them at rehearsal that day of June 25th. Also, why did Dr. Murray make several phonecalls after he found Michael Jackson wasn't breathing? None of those calls at the time was to 911 but among the calls he made were to his assistants in Houston Texas to clear out his office. Clear his office of WHAT? There was some very suspect and shady things Dr. Murray was doing during that time period when Michael Jackson died, including turning the temperature up HIGH in the summer--which would affect the body temperature of a dead person and making the time of death difficult to detect. People, stop being so ignorant and blind with your own 'issues' with Michael Jackson and use reasoning. Murray's excuse that Jackson 'demanded' drugs just doesn't fly, doesn't make sense.
And as for Jackson's prescription drug dependancy, which he admitted to in 1993, in the earlier months of 1993 he had reconstructive surgery on his scalp due to 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his scalp in 1984. That was a painful process he went through and he needed pain medication. That was also the same year just a month or so later when he was accused of child molestation while he was about to go on tour in Asia. All of those things combined were ENOUGH to make ANYONE become addicted to medicines to help ease not only physical pain, but also mental and emotional pain. Did any of you people realize Michael Jackson also had Lupus, which requires various prescriptions? Also Jackson had various painful injuries over the years--including back injury he suffered during a performance years ago. Yes, he had and took various prescriptions, but it was for LEGITIMATE reasons, not to get a fix or a high. And just because of his past dependency on prescriptions DOES NOT MEAN he was going through an addiction during the last months of his life. In fact plenty of people that were around him stated Michael jackson was in good shape, he was eating a healthy diet and he was on a regular exercise regimen and he wasn't drugged up nor spaced out like people have been led to believe. He was about to leave that week to go to London to set up for the shows.
Something happened June 25th to throw everything off and instead of wagging the finger of shame and scorn towards Michael Jackson, you better look at Dr. Murray alot more closer. He's not the poor, star-struck doctor who gave in to the demanding Jackson like the media wants you to believe."
