voted ‘farewell my summer love’ solely for the way the title track, and ‘girl you’re so together’ were given that extra lease of life. they ended up surpassing the original versions in my opinion.

No, I'd say it was a rarity album. A compilation of unreleased stuff.

What I like about these albums is that they're their own standalone release. They didn't demote them to being bonus tracks, and they didn't try to make you buy an anniversary edition of "ABC 15" or some nonsense.

The original versions of the songs on Farewell are dope. Motown should have released them in 1974.
