Did Michael get the "Thriller 25th"-idea from Billy Bush?

When Billy Bush from Access Hollywood interviewed Michael Jackson in 2006 he suggested to Michael about the idea of taking Thriller to a "second" chapter, some sort of a rerelease with remixes and such. Michael Jacksons answer was "It's a great idea. We havn't really discussed it yet on that level, but I'm sure at some point we will."

So I wonder, did Michael Jackson get the "Thriller 25th"-idea from Billy Bush?

Im sure Michael/Sony would have released Thriller anyway for the 25th Anniversary, maybe with a new cover or something, like an anniversary edition
