‘going places’ is more ska influenced than disco to me. the same way that ‘ease on down the road’ is more country.

I see ‘things I do for you’ as straight funk.

‘living together’ & ‘think happy’ are standard ‘philly soul’.

my vote goes to ‘jump for joy’. besides being my favourite of the bunch, I think it best represents the genre. it really could have been the hit that the album needed.
