OK, so here is my 'crazy question of the week':
I was watching Dr Who last night (OK, so I've watched it since forever, right back to William Hartnell), and there were quite a few MJ echoes in there, so I just wondered if it was all coincidence, or if Steven Moffat (the writer) is an MJ fan? If this IS all just co-incidence, I think it shows just how much coincidences can stack up, once you start looking for them.....

Episode 7 Evidence:

  • At around 11.12ish, it is mentioned that the Dr arranged for Stevie Wonder to sing for River Song on her Birthday
There are (I think maybe 2) definite 'This is it' moments in the script..the first around 12.34 onwards
  • River Song says of the Dr that he will 'rise higher than ever before and then fall so much further' (I've often seen it said of MJ...that no-one before has ever 'flown so high or been sent so low' etc.)
  • The Drs daughter is called Melody (Reference the end of 'Granite'...so that each generation shall hear my music and appreciate the gift of Melody')
At 2.47 Melody is told she 'will never be alone'
The costumes of the 'headless monks' remind me of MJ at the beginning of 'Ghosts'
The character at 13.25 seems to be wearing a lot of crescent moons..maybe (like horseshoes), the luck runs out when they point downwards....!
more of a stretch, this...At 9.18 there is a 'nurse' (should be a doctor!), who looks forward to killing his patients...
Stranger still, looking at Steven Moffat's tweets, I see that this episode was number 7, but also the 777th episode of Dr Who.

I watch Dr.Who on BBC America; but except for these pictures you posted I'm not sure about there being MJ references.
