I grew up listening to MJ, but never knew that the songs i heard on the radio as a child were his! But I did know who MJ was, though i just couldnt connect his music to him yet.
Years later, in 2018, I rediscovered his music and learned so much about Mj. Earth song makes me so emotional to the point where my mom had to ban me from listening to it... I can relate to MJ, since he's different and unique- people bully him. I can understand this as i feel different amongst others and i get bullied.
What inspired me, was his unique style and appearance. I'd start doodling his eyes and face which would develop into my style. This art style of mine took quite a few years to fully form, I even began to get inspired by Paris Jackson, of whom drawing her became therapy for me.
Even now, as I draw MJ- i still find solace in his music and it heals me. Stranger in moscow is my favorite song by mj- since i have a visual in my head for it. Often, when it rains outside- I take a walk and put on this song. It's like meditation.
My dream, is to someday work with the jacksons and make art for them on merch and album covers. I love MJ so much because he brought out things in me i never knew i was cabable of.
