Hello MJfam,
I wanted to apologize for my absence these past few days. I have not gotten a chance, until now, to post on MJJC. I generally use Taptalk but it sometimes wont let me post. And now that I have a chance, I'd like to let you know that I will not be able to access the internet for a couple of months.
It was announced a couple of days ago that Ethiopia's Prime Minister Melese Zenawi had passed away in a Belgium hospital (when in truth he had died on July 15th). Following that, they have now appointed a "President" in Ethiopia who will be leading the country for short months. The Prime Minister had been in power for 23 years and was a dictator and in his reign, many students, who opposed him have been killed, including two of my cousins. One of my aunts was put to jail because of a misunderstanding and had stayed there for a while. My mom, sister, 2nd aunt and myself will be going back to Ethiopia in 2 days to see what can be done to get my aunt out.
This seems like a dream right now. I never liked politics but it follows me where ever I go …
I hope this ends in our favor and I hope I get your prayers. Ethiopia is a beautiful country with rich culture and History. It is the Ignorant leaders that have made it so hard for the Real Ethiopia to show….
I'm blabbering away…. sorry… but I just wanted to let you know so that you dont think i'm abandoning my duties here as staff. I will update if anything major happens… but I will be back in a couple of months *God Willing*!
I thankyou for your love and understanding… I hope to talk to y'all soon.
