Life (2015) about the friendship of James Dean and photographer Dennis Stock who shot some of the most iconic photos of the actor in 1955 for Life magazine. On a positive Robert Pattinson was pretty good as Stock, compared to other roles where he is just plain wooden, and Ben Kingsley as Jack Warner was great. However, I wasn't feeling Dane DeHaan as Dean who seem miscast. He was too pudgy and too self aware plus his Dean hair style wasn't accurate (I know I'm being picky, but being a huge Dean fan I care about the details.....eg. James Franco was perfect in 2001 James Dean film and his hair and mannerisms were on point!).
I have this Stock photo as a poster on my wall in my study :wub:
I give this film a 2.5 out of 5 :beee:
On a side note my all-time fav James Dean film is East of Eden 1955 (its also my fav Kazan film after A Streetcar Named Desire 1951) and the ending gets me bawl every time "oh Cal" 5 out of 5
