It's frustrating. Seems that all media reports refer to it as the "Video Vanguard award". They occasionally reference the name change, some mention MJ as a past recipient, some don't mention him at all!

MTVs press release refers to it one as the MJVVA and twice as just the VA.

Will wait for the ceremony to see how they present it.

I remember when Shakira went out of her way made the point of calling it the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award a couple of years back
