Why didn't MJ and this crew ever officially work together? The Fugees created at least two remixes for MJ; The Refugee Camp Mix's of Blood on the Dance Floor and 2 Bad. Both are quite smooth; if I remember correctly, MJ himself gave the Blood remix his explicit stamp of approval. Maybe they planned to work together one day?
 
I think there was a story about MJ not being happy with wyclef's mix, and asked him to do it again. I could be getting that wrong though. I have always disliked the remixes, especially wyclef's.

You got that wrong, yeah. He was very happy, and asked him to do another remix in addition. MJ explicitly enjoyed his BOTDF remix.
