This isn't a prank, Branca
In a surprising new chapter in the ongoing story surrounding Michael Jackson’s legacy, all three of his children, Prince, Paris, and Bigi, have now joined forces in a legal move requesting a detailed financial breakdown of the Estate’s 2025 expenses.

According to newly filed court documents in Los Angeles, the siblings are asking a judge to require the Estate to provide its 2025 accounting by September 15, nearly nine months after the year’s end. The petition argues that the Estate has “adequate resources” or can obtain them within eight months to complete the accounting, despite executors requesting 16 months to finalize the numbers.

What makes this development particularly notable is Prince’s involvement. Over the years, Prince has been publicly supportive of the Estate, regularly attending Michael Jackson’s annual birthday celebration in Las Vegas, working closely with the Estate on projects, and even being seen on set during production of the highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic. The Estate has also supported Prince’s charity work, including use of the Hayvenhurst property.

Paris, however, has been engaged in a separate and more direct legal battle with executors John Branca and John McClain for months. In previous filings, she accused the Estate of holding over $464 million in cash without placing it into higher-yield investments and distributing significant sums to law firms. Court documents referenced payments of over $4.5 million to 10 law firms in 2021, as well as $148 million in executor compensation between 2009 and 2021.
